Well, hi! Is it as cold at your house as it is here in North Little Rock?

yeah, it's cold....I love the way a fire smells. When I was a kid we had a fireplace. But I lived in Sunnyvale, CA and the temperature really did not get below 30 degrees much. Sunnyvale is in the valley so we very rarely saw snow, and being in the valley we hardly went over 85 degrees in the summer time. Can't say that for Arkansas. I lived out there for 8 years then moved back here so my dad and uncle could be truck drivers.....crazy I know, but I would not change it for the world.

I miss all my friends from there, we keep in touch from time to time, but not like we did when I first moved back home. Was born in Little Rock, grew up mostly in California, and graduated high school in North Little Rock, and now going to college at UALR. Majoring in Business Information Systems, or Business Management. And working part time at Kroger. Can't complain too much. Just that this is my 3rd year without my dad, and it is still very hard for me to believe he is in Heaven.

Thank you. He had been sick for sometime, but I was out of state for 12 years, and only the last few of his life was the hardest. He had C.O.P.D and had a list of other conditions that required surgeries. All of which I was unaware of until around 2011 or 2012. Then his lungs gave out, and he was put on a respirator. He told my older brother and I when we were young kids, that if he ever or my mom ever had to be on a ventilator for longer than a week, to pull the plug and if it was meant for him to live he would or if he was meant to die he would. But to be hooked to a ventilator was existing not living. He wanted to live not exist. So after me being on the phone with him for over 30 minutes, I hung up bawling my eyes out, and my mom, my older brother and younger brother pulled the plug. His lungs gave out and he went to Heaven.

I really miss him and his advice and wisdom. He was a brilliant man. Stubborn but brilliant.

I had gotten so upset at my twin nephews because they would not go to bed Thursday night, and I was trying to work on a pre-final test that I would have earned extra credit just for doing it. But because these little boys, would not go to bed wanted to get my mother all flustered and her blood pressure up, I threw my ink pen and thought it hit the my papers I have tacked to my cork-board, but when I came back into my office/bed room, I found out it hit my laptop screen, shattered it at the bottom right corner. Thank God I found another one on ebay. I had to juggle my finances around a little in order to do it but it comes in tomorrow. It was in Illinois. Not too far from Arkansas. Only took it about 18 hours to get from there to here and that was including the 6 1/2 hours it sat at the Post Office. I watched several youtube videos on how to take the screen off and how to put it on, just to make sure that the first video wasn't a mess-up. Found a couple of those in the past.....lol....Not too difficult to put a fuse inside of the Christmas lights, but I needed to know what the fuse size was...the nit whit put in the wrong size fuse and it popped all the light bulbs.....Oh how I laughed...but I may have to come see you guys about the issue with my hard drive.

I did find out that it was extremely easy taking and putting in the hard drive in this laptop...a screw holds it in place, and after unscrewing it and setting it aside, pull out the hard drive. So I am in the market for a better hard drive. Found a 2TB and 1 TB hard drive, just not sure if they are new. I am also wanting to upgrade my memory, it has 4GB but was told I could upgrade to 8. That would speed things up a little. I know the mechanic suggested I wipe my hard drive and then re-enter all my operating systems. But if I did that wouldn't I need the Bios in order to run the new DVD/Flash?

Going to bed, have a busy day at work tomorrow. I hope all have a safe night/day which ever the case may be for you. I know Eldon will have a good day for sure. Not sure where everyone else is from. Night Tim. Night Kestrel, and LauraR You ladies have a blessed night. All of you have a blessed night and Thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your world. Feels good to have someone to talk to and not have to scream "Get out of my room, I'm doing my homework!" Lol. Mother does not count. I don't scream at her. But my nephews know when my door is shut, to leave me alone, but yeah they still bother me a lot...kids. I love them, but just can't stand them.

They are 5 years old and Autistic with Asp Berger's on top of it all. Poor babies. But they are at times more than what I can even handle. Just not sure of what all I can do for them. Tried getting them to classes, but the school said they were not to come back because the school does not deal with this form of disabilities. The oldest one is not as bad as the younger one, but there is only a minute between them. Oh, and God forbid a stranger touches them at the grocery store accidentally......OMG, thought my hearing was never going to come back in my right ear. Took them about 15 minutes to calm down enough for me to finish buying groceries. So, now there is a teller at the Walmart that we shop at, that has to come around with us from time to time just to keep them company. Stems from my mother working for over 29 years for Walmart. Think it's the tellar's way of catching up with my mom. I don't complain, keeps the boys occupied and leaves me the opportunity to put stuff in the buggy.

They are high functioning which means they can speak and dress themselves, play and are other wise on a normal look and act normal most the time. They do, however, have violent outbursts, and have been known to throw things, they are learning to write their letters and numbers, and can count to 10. They know their colors to a point, know their shapes to a point, and play very well with cars and legos. They just don't like going to bed at night, and want to watch cartoons all night. Nap time for most kids is not a problem. These two to take a nap, is like pulling teeth out of a crocodile with no anesthetic. Yep it is a hassle for sure. Night all.

These kids might be ready for some entertaining and education mixed together. We found color butterflies, Alphabet Zoo, The numbers song and such for free to download off the internet. Even made a few pdf's with numbers and colors ourselves. And once they learn hand / eye co-ordination enough to click on their own icons the kids have been very happy to keep themselves busy on their own. They learn to click on songs we put in for them. And puzzles. We made it a deal to do a little practice on numbers and ABC's and such to get the chance to play games. They take to it all really well. Hope all goes well!

Well, these two little boys of ours are actually a lot more advanced than I make them out to be. But, I have them working on some activity books learning to write and they know their letters. I appreciate the added advice, I will get them hooked up and see if it will keep them occupied and give them more to learn.

Well Arkansas's weather is crazy......was the high of 74 degrees today..and our low for tonight is 25...has been raining off and on all day so there is water everywhere, which will be ice by morning...oh yea...I get to drive on ice tomorrow going to work...what fun.

Yep the dog is coming in tonight through Saturday night. All the temps at night will be below freezing. But the daytime highs are all above 35 degrees. Now the trick is to get him back outside during the day. He is an older Lab who thinks he is human. And scared of water. He must have been abused when he was a pup with a waterhose. Because when you turn the water on in the summer he runs and hides.

He is now 12 years old.
