What are some of the potentially contentious opinions that you have? You can list things you feel are wrong, overrated, silly, annoying, or things you prefer, ect.
Please no political post! Don't take offence, after all it is just someone's opinion!;) Keep it nice!

Here are a few of mine.

Toilet paper rolls should roll over the top not down the back.

The sound in movie theaters is too loud, especially action scenes.

I'd rather drink a cold Coca-Cola than any kind of alcohol.

lol - this will get HBT in no time ;)
    - People who don't say 'hello' when they walk into any small shop
    - People who don't say 'thanks and goodbye' when they leave
    - People who take/make calls or send texts when in a checkout
    - Able bodied people who don't offer a seat to the less able on public transport

Not if people don't go political and just express opinions but don't attack and keep it nice!

Network Sports commutators talk too much about everything but the game that is being played.

I rarely go in movie theaters because of a pet peeve I have. I always manage to sit behind or in front of the couple who feels the need to chat incessantly throughout the movie.

Toilet paper should roll over the top, not down the back, unless you have a dog or a cat. They just love to play with the roll.

People who never learned righty-tighty and lefty-loosey with bread twistees.

Heads of lettuce packaged with clear tape. Why can't they use red or green so you can actually see the end of the tape.

People who tear through traffic, cut you off, etc and then take 10 minutes trying to back into a parking spot.

Funny! I had one of those cats once. She would get ahold of the toilet paper in the bath in the back of the house and run to the other end of the house unrolling it as she went and never tare it off the roll.

    People who tailgate.

People who are on their phones texting/facebooking when they are supposed to be working.

People who drive slowly in the passing lane, as if it was their own personal lane.

People who have no concept of how to merge into traffic.

People that ask you a question, then ask "what do you mean" and repeat what you told them.

People who have their eyes glued to their phone while driving. We've seen this on high speed divided roads and on rural country roads. We've had cars cros the center line and look like they'd plow into us head on.

People smoking while people are eating. There is nothing worse than enjoying a nice glass of red with a big steak in a restaurant with someone's stinky cigarette smoke wafting around your head.
I am really pleased there is no smoking inside restaurants in Australia but if there are tables outside on the sidewalk or a balcony or a deck people can still smoke.

Also, people who for any reason do not stay out of other people's personal space.

    People who double-park on purpose.

People who do absolutely nothing to stop their over-eager dog from enthusiastically jumping at strangers because "he's just sooo friendly!"

the "older" people that pull onto a merging ramp see a tractor trailer 5 miles down the road and wait till it gets 200 yards from them to pull out because they can't judge distance, tractor trailer has to slam on the brakes ,jack knife ,or run off the road to keep from killing somebody !!!

For those interested... $4.99 / 350 ml bottle at African Hut (California). There should be other importers.

    BTW
The regular price in SA is less than $2.00 / 700 ml bottle.

I like this list and OMG mine would be huge, but here goes

    • Indeed folk who do not say hello in any shop when talking to a staff member or vice versa.
    • Agree on goodbye, we are civilised are we not, this is simple.
    • Folk who do not say thank you when you hold door open for them, I was taught manors as a kid and will still hold doors open for folk no matter age, but many are asshats and will not say a simple thanks so next time as my memory is awesome I just close the door in face of asshat! Many of work doors are swipe card access so a pain for folk who do/show not have access.
    • Texting while walking in buildings and streets, not watching where you are going, I walk straight at these folk, if they bump into me so be it, must thing or create an app for texting that uses front camera to show where they are going and proximity alert to other folk.
    • Able bodied with you on this Max, on public transport.
    • folk who bullshit in work that they think they can do the job...... NHS is a prime example of this, folk who come up ranks due to who they know but take the idioms of the ones above them so when they move up they still keep the same idioms of mentor, majority still have no clue. Finance is one I have had battles with lately, no clue of pure financial yes or no's NEVER change how you report financial data!!!!
    • Folk who drive in wrong lane on purpose then think they should be let in to the correct lane, because they are in a hurry! only slows everyone down.
    • Everyone blaming Brexit on the worlds ills, what next polar icecaps melting are brexits fault. Just an excuse for raising prices at present and we not actually out.
    • Twitterati getting panties in a wad over everything.... OMG more serious things going on in the world than your childish rant.
    • MSM being negative over everything, try not to read much these days and its all gloom and doom, TBH the doom never happens and its all "could" + "maybe" + "suggested" all talk for we have NO BLOODY CLUE.
    • Starbucks not my first choice, Costa ok but Cafe Nero and McDonalds have good coffee, but I just save money and make my own.
    • Weather reports - may as well just look out window.
    • PCs when they dont work pisses me off no end, especially if no cause can be found.
    • links me to gov IT, hahahhahahaha its not great they have not the basics of backup or virtual server usage, I spend morning closing startup apps I have no admin rights to block at startup and then slow network, even opening a Word doc of a network drive can be slow! crucial medical apps can crash, but no backup virtual mirrored app kicks in why! this is no brainer.
    • People who are so lazy that they park across your gate/path access to your home, when parking is available within 10 steps away.
    • Folk who ramble on like me so I will stop :0)

Worse yet are those who know and can do the job but try to supervise instead. They hire too many of those who do not know so the job fails even though the guy in charge could have done it well. Greed is the driving factor here.

I pretty much agree with all of these.

    I'll add to these though:

I have noticed this a mostly male trait (particularly when there is a woman sitting next to them), but I will not say women don't do it as well, I've just never experienced it...

Having seats that are right next to each other (auditorium, sports event, etc) where you should keep your legs together and your body straight ahead so as not to be taking the space of the people next to you. Men seem to think it's okay to splay their legs apart past their own seat or have their bodies into them. This happened to both my daughter and myself last night at a sports event.

I would say ANYBODY who stops in the middle of the aisle in the store and doesn't put their cart to the side, thereby blocking others from getting past.

I have a female co-worker who thinks it's perfectly fine to out of nowhere appear very close to me, from behind, and put her hands on my shoulders. The way the Guy touches me when he means to give me a shoulder rub. My co-workers does this as her way of saying "I'm right behind you, don't freak out".

I'm very sensitive about invasions into my personal space, and this is beyond annoying for me. A man who touches me that way would be facing a severe HR complaint at best, and some serious physical injury at worst. But this is a woman doing it, so consensus in the culture I am stuck with says it's not a big deal.

IT'S MY PERSONAL SPACE! Why does not one get why this matters?

I've discovered, from similar experiences in the past, that if you get really excited the next time your team scores and accidentally spill your drink all over the body part that is past the person's seat, can make this problem go away. ;)

Yes. I know. But I have to work with her and every one who likes her. That requires me to be overly selective when I pick my battles.

Mimsy, male or female does not matter, touching is not allowed. Even being too close can be a problem.
Tell her and if she does not stop then tell your boss to explain the rules to her. After that you have to choose to put up with it or do a formal complaint.

And once again, since I have to work with this person every day, and have for several years, I save that energy for other battles, and simply keep my distance and make sure she doesn't sneak up behind me. Formal complaints are for people who are creepy, and intend something sinister or sexual. This woman is just dumb.
