@CaMidltn those arrangements are awesome, like the use of the snowman vase.

Are you certain this is your plant? Could you get additional pictures of it? Something that shows all of the plant base and close ups of the flower?

The members of the gardening club, said that it really is hard to identify a plant just from the flower. But that if you could get as much information or as many pictures as possible, they would be able to do a better job at identifying it for you. There are several others who say that it is a Yucca. But like I said, the flower is wrong for it to be a Yucca.

Thank you. Our District Manager liked the little snowman Candy baskets. He thought they were adorable. And really liked the idea that we have sold 4 of them. But those baskets are expensive on their own. With the candy and the basket it was $24.99. These were listed in Post # 440

That vase alone was $ 10.99 and with the flowers it was supposed to be higher than what I let it go for. It was supposed to go for $29.99, but my supervisor said to let it go for what a normal 1/2 dozen rose arrangement would go for, so that we could get rid of all the Christmas vases and baskets. Right now she has all the Christmas vases and baskets marked down 70%. Our district manager does not want any of the Christmas stuff to linger over the next year. They really do take up a huge amount of room.

    It's not a Yucca - it's Yucca-like.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yucca

It's definitely not an Aloe. I live in Aloe country - here's one that's indigenous to the Eastern Cape, South Africa.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aloe_africana

The plant grows in another town about 2 hours drive from where I live.

The aloe looks like an octopus...lol.

So, we're you able to get any other pictures of your plant? The people in the gardening forum, says that your plant is transplanted there. There it is not indigenous to the area.

Is the link I sent you, your plant?

I'm not driving 2 hours to take a picture...
Agreed. South Africa has a lot of 'alien' vegetation.

Me being slightly arty at xmas, just loved the way my mum wraps presents, plus the light reflects off the tinsel looks good.

It is called Lycoris radiata. I have them in my yard as well...They can be placed in pots if you are in a region that is not good for hardy plants. They do very well in Arkansas's hot summers and cold winters. We very rarely get huge amounts of snow and ice, but have seen them pop up the year afterward. The common name is Red Spider Lily. Here is a link I found to tell you more about them.

lol....of course with this website they are always high on their prices.....Can always get them cheaper somewhere else...but you can dry your bulbs, and sell them yourself...through either ebay or etsy .

My mother calls ours Christmas Lilies because ours comes up with the flower first close to Thanksgiving and will be in bloom until around the middle of December

I know me too and the present below had a tartan ribbon which looked good also. In the past she has used newpapers to wrap presents and added ribbons which looks good. Must be where I got my artist eye from.

We have used a wide variety of things to wrap presents with. Tinfoil, the Sunday Comics, brown paper bags, butcher paper (clean of course), shopping bags, construction paper and tissue paper. We would always add nice ribbons and bows.

I had a very interesting childhood.....lots of fun

Cheers Eldon, yeah glad I went for that colour than my usual choice of black, like the added touch of same colour on dash.
Sounds really deep and throaty from the exhaust, plus a bit of turbo whine. Seriously planted on the road as wheels in the corners is like go-kart handling.

Looks cool and a nice bright blue colour when the sun is shining on it unless the other pics are a trick although it is probably the position of the sun as you mention ;)
I like the lack of GT stripes and decals too so it looks very understated until you put your right foot down hehehe
Have fun sniffing the new car smells :)

Yeah Joffa, I stipulated no decals as they can come with them at times, stripes and side decal name etc, as it was a factory order you can easily add and take options from a base option. I did add reversing sensors and friends say why its a small car, but TBH its come in handy in tight carparks. OH yes understated, was in traffic next to an AMG CLS Coupe and the driver looked over to me and said "what the hell is that" as he heard the growl from the exhaust earlier.

    Still sniffing!

Washed the car on the one day we had some sun and dry weather. Took 2hrs but good exercise and used Autoglym Super Resin Polish which gives a nice glass like look. Used a vanilla filter on the bottom pics and looks good in monochrome I think

We have had some bad weather here in Arkansas today. My cousins live in Louisiana and a tornado killed a mother and her 3 year old daughter. The husband/father returned home from the store to find his house and family was gone. My prayers go out to him and his family. This storm was heading East.

Once again Arkansas has been hit with some very unstable weather conditions. But I got part of my neighbor's flower bed planted. Have to wait until it dries out a bit before I can finish the other side. I found in an area of about 10 inch circle about 75 daffodil bulbs. All different sizes. Was amazing. I'll take a picture tomorrow and then send it in. Just too late to try and go get one. Even though he wouldn't mind. My camera just takes so much better pictures during the day.
