Uninstalled Realtek High Definintion Audio

Hello, today I was trying to fix Audacity so I decided to uninstall Realtek High Definition Audio. I restarted my computer after the uninstall. Then I reinstalled it and restarted my computer again. Now I have this red x on the sound thing in the bottom right https://gyazo.com/2695398ca47a9d4740fb6abb61d17254. It also says "No Speakers Or Headphones Are Plugged In" Please help me.

Your error message screenshot is unreadable to me. There is no need ever to use a pic hosting website for this.
To capture such a screen shot, all you have to do is minimize any other windows first, just leaving the error message window, then together press alt + PrtScr, then open PAINT and press ctrl+V and save that image as jpeg to your desktop, then in the message window here at bottom right choose 'UPLOAD A FILE'.
We can then properly read it.

I had a problem like that and it was fixed by resetting the default Playback Device to Speakers.

In the Start button Search field, type troubleshoot

In the Hardware and Sound category, select Troubleshoot audio playback

By the way, that screenshot was totally unreadable - if you cant see the screenshot on your own desktop, neither can we.

 

The sound is going to my monitor speakers which isnt the default device.
I want the volume to go to "Speakers" which is my headset.

what do you mean by unreadable
Btw whenever I switch default device to my speakers, the sound still goes to my monitor.
Whenever I right click my monitor speaker (VX228-4) and click set default it does nothing

 

If the words in the window in the screenshot are unreadable, then they are unreadable!
You are supposed to look at the screenshot first to see if you can read the words. If you can't no one else can.
You look at the screenshot, then using the tools in your photo program you expand it or crop it.
It's not rocket science.

I assume your head phones are not appearing as a recognised device then.

 

How come they worked before I uninstalled realtek

Open the Realtek audio control panel and look for advanced options.
Ensure Independant Headphone is selected, not Redirected Headphone.

The Volume looks like it's at Minimum.
Look at Speaker Configuration - there's nothing.
Carefully look at all the settings.

 

The volume would go to mute again if i close the control panel and the speaker configuration too.
I looked at everything and it seems like theres no fix

 

All I can suggest is to look at the control panel of the monitor's speakers.
I seems that they are taking exclusive control of the audio.

no but I can turn off the speakers and make the volume go to plugged in devices but it just wont work

 

How did you determine the onboard is Realtek?

Then look under audio
The driver is realtek and I tried it but it still didnt resolve my problem

 

It appears to me, that when you uninstalled the realtek driver, the audio devices all defaulted to using the audio drivers on your nvidia card, I'd try changing the settings in there if there is an option, or to uninstall the nvidia drivers, uninstall and reinstall the realtek driver and then reinstall the nvidia drivers. Sorry I can't be any more specific. I couldn't find much information on the issue and do not have an Nvidia card to test this out on.

Umm so, I disabled the nvidia audio driver and all I had was realtek, but still my headphones(called speakers) still didnt get the sound

 

Where on the computer are the headphones plugged in? Is it plugged in in the back of the computer? The front?

Btw I cant reset my computer because my ESD folder is empty meaning i dont have an install.esd (which you need to reset your computer). Do you know anything about this?
I mean if i can get my esd thing to work then I dont have to deal with the current adware and audio problems on my pc because I can just reset. Thanks for the help though.

 

Your Product Key is embedded in the system (but you can find it easily now to make a note of to keep safe with a program like Belarc Advisor or Magical Jelly Bean Keyfinder - both available on MG) so you could save any needed data, then download a new Windows 10 file on a blank USB key drive from Microsoft, then install afresh. https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/15088/windows-create-installation-media

 

Umm actually I tried using the media creation tool but it stays at 0% for me

 

It should download to a blank USB drive (min 4gb of space) easily, after first downloading the media creation tool to the desktop. The media creation tool then allows the choice of download (eg Windows 10 Home 64bit) to the USB drive.

My usb has 16 gb and its blank and that still doesnt work.

 

But did you download the media creation tool to the desktop first? If that went correctly, but it is using that tool to download the OS to the USB drive that doesn't work, I suggest you try it on a different system - one of a friend or relative. I've actually done it a few times for people I've helped, so I suggest you try that.
Do remember all those steps need to be done as an Administrator. The media creation tool must be right clicked and choose 'run as administrator'.

EDIT: Now seeing that you have a specialist malware forum thread, maybe you should leave the above until your system is declared fully malware-free.

Yeah the win 10 download is working like a charm, used my sisters pc, so far its at like a 20%

 

Max Turner, I dont know if you know about this but I took the install.wim folder from the usb and put it on my windows drive, then I went into cmd and set the install.wim as the recovery image location. That didnt work, if you can explain in depth about how to reset my computer that would be awesome!

If you're going to do a fresh install, install the Realtek drivers first.

 

I'm confused by the Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 references.
Did you upgrade that system during the one year free option, from 8.1 to 10?

 

Yes Max turner i did upgrade from 8.1 to 10 in the 1 year option

 

I attempted to uninstall again however every time it would simply reinstall it self. The default would be there for a couple of moments then it would change quickly to the realtek drivers ones. I reinstalled windows thinking theres no chance itll introduce it self at this point. Well it introduced itself. my television speakers work fine and dandy my headset plays sound however its not in the same class as it was and it crackles once in a while for reasons unknown and it didn't do that some time recently. It likewise doesnt crackle or sound awful on my companions pc. Help would be acknowledged in uninstalling it.
