Just wanna be sure I'm using it correctly. I've installed the latest version, and I've created a Rescue disc. Now I wanna create a backup image of my C drive. Here's what the Macrium window looks like now,

    Capture.PNG

There are a couple of things I'm unsure about. First of all, what does that bit on the left mean? File System NTFS, Free Space 284.1 MB, Total Size 600 MB? What is that referring to? Total size of what?

Secondly, which boxes should I uncheck and which ones should I leave checked before I click 'Image this disk'?

EDIT: I don't get this. How do you zoom in on a full size version of that image? I doubt anyone can help me if they can't see it properly.

    Greetings Jesse,
I open the original image in paint.net. Using the rectangular tool copy the segment that you want zoomed. Create new image and copy the segment. Click on Image/resize double the number of pixils. Save NEW file as JPG and that's it.
    Good luck,
    s.

It's describing the first partition. Mouse over to the next partition and the details will be for that.
Click Image this disk first, and on the next screen uncheck any partitions you don't want included in the image. I keep my personal stuff on a data partition and always exclude that partition from the image as I prefer a different backup program for backing up data files. This keeps image size manageable and reduces the time imaging takes. The real strength of imaging is the ease with which you can step back in time to a good working state if system problems of any sort should develop, including malware.

Thanks for the info! I've already created the system image though, with all partitions checked. But it's only 44 GB, and the drive I have it saved on is a 2 TB, so no worries.
