Windows 10 did an auto update to my Lenovo Flex 3 the other day. Today I went to access some photos and here is the message that I got:

    c:\Users\fkbsa\Downloads\untitled design (38).jpg

Windows cannot find 'C:\Users\fkbsa\Downloads\untitled design (38).jpg'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.

I get this message after actually clicking on the photo in the download folder:

    This PC > Windows (C:) > Users > fkbsa > Downloads

Thank you in advance for all your help.

I just noticed that when I right click on properties on the pictures it says open with TWINIU and the picture won't open but if I change it to LENOVO Picture Master the picture will open fine.

You need to correctly set the Default Program for opening photo files. When as below it showed the wrong one, and you chose another it would have had a tick box to make that permanent.
Here is how you access the page for defaults in Windows 10

Thank you for your suggestion but it did not work. I get the same message after making TWINUI the default photo viewing program. There were two TWINUI programs, one looked like mountains, which is the one that used to show up when opening pictures, and the other had a hot air balloon, and I tried them both but got the same error message each time. I hate when the update messes with something that was working perfectly before.

Why would you even consider making 'twinui' the default photo program?
You have at least two programs for that on your system, the Lenovo one you mentioned and the Windows 10 default 'Photos'.

Your post makes no sense to me.

If you are saying that when you try and set one of the two normal Photo programs as the default app, you then click save for that change, then restart your system and that default setting doesn't stick, then you clearly have an OS problem.

Not a single Windows Update on any of my several Windows 10 systems has changed my photo program default settings.
It's very easy to blame everything on Windows updates even when it is not the cause.

The update did change mine. I am not trying to place blame. I am not as savvy as you and I used whatever was assigned to the Lenovo. TWINUI is not something that I changed the photo viewing to because I didn't know anything about that program at all. After the update that is what appeared. I did not change it until I realized that I could not access my photos. When the update finished that is when I noticed that I could not access my photos. I looked at the properties of the photos and it said TWINUI. I thought that was what I was using before as I had never found it necessary to look at the properties. I knew that I wasn't using the Lenovo because Lenovo Photo Master has a red banner on the top so I went with the assumption that it was TWINUI that I was using and that now it wasn't working so I was trying to get it to work again.

I can use Lenovo Photo Master but my preference would be whatever I had before. But if I have something working that is all that matters.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

This is windows 10 on a laptop or desktop right?
Ignore what is on your phone.
Either choose Windows 10 Photos - which is the standard inbuilt photo viewer/amender for Windows 10 - or your Lenovo program or one of many reputable free ones hosted on MG as your system default.
Otherwise you are making life unnecessarily difficult.

You can also - at any time - run the System File Checker to check on their integrity. It takes 30 minutes and is easy. If there are issues it will fix them.

It is a tablet/laptop combo. The Lenovo Flex 3.

I suggest you run SFC then. Otherwise you're looking at a full reset of windows on that device.

Thank you for taking the time to read my thread, confirming my update situation, and for the article.

I read in the article about restoring a previous version of my registry which would probably solve my problem. Can you tell me how to safely do this. While looking at things I see TWINUI listed numerous times for various things.

If you type in the search box- system restore- the system properties box comes up- click on system restore tab- another box comes up, click the show morerestore points box- choose the time of the update, or, before the update.
Trouble is, if that update re-installs, you might get the same problem.
Otherwise , once restore, make a registry backup, then keep handy.
