Unable To Turn On Mse?

    Although have installed MSE,with all traces of any virus software removed.

    I am NOW Unable to turn MSE ON orReal time protection.


    I now depend upon windows 7 firewall and windows defender.
    I have carried out all advice from microsoft regarding installation of MSE,and although MSE does install,it also states unable to install antispyware and virus control?

    error codes:Unable to install file MPfilter.sys. plus error code 0x4FF02,


    I have windows LIVE essentials 2011 installed.

    Really getting frustrated by problem so any help would br apreciated!

    Did as you advised and all traces of MSE have been removed,however on attempting to install MSE from Microsoft official site failed on three attempts,same eror messages apear as mentioned earlier plus another

    Cannot access NisDrvWFP.sys file.
    MpFilter .sys.
    Error code:0x8000070643

    Installation stopped with message stating unable to install...Please advise as really want to get this MSE up and running thanks Caskin

    I know you believe you have removed all residuals from previous AV/AS software but something is starting up that is causing these MSE issues. I suggest you download Autoruns. It doesn't have to be installed, you just run the executable. Then post some legible screenshots so we can have a look at what is running.

    There are left-0vers from both AVG Internet Security and Bitdefender Antivirus Free still running at startup.

    Can you advise how to remove,as I was under the impression I had been right through the sysytem,even down to running wondows clean up tool,so Im now stuck as to which direction to go in? Again many thanks for assitance

    I didn't get notified you had replied and have only just seen your post. You just need to go through the Autoruns startups removing the checkmarks against the items Dr Moriarty has posted. I also noticed Superantispyware entries in your text file, you may need to stop those too. You can use the Autoruns Search function to find them. Reboot when you are done.

    The text file is hard to read but I asked you for a screenshot or two, not a text file.

    As regards Superantispyware, if it's still installed you could try simply uninstalling it and trying MSE again. If still no good then follow the earlier advice.
