Game Will Not Download

Sorry to bother you. We got this error message, but don't understand it:

connect fx binding failed (10038) windows\asyncsocket/1156

 

What game?
Once again you are not giving sufficient information when you post a problem.
Given the other problems you are having in separate threads which don't yet seem completed, you need to focus on completely resolving one problem at a time.

 

I am not very good at these sort of errors, but if you look t this you tube page, and videos, it may be some help to you- possibly Winsock errors (timout, insufficient memory available, etc
But as Max said it would help us if you gave more information.

I use Win 7 home edition, and Firefox.
The game is Dreadnought, a fact which I did inadvertently leave out of the posting
I posted previously an update to my last problem, the one with Avast, stating you had solved it.
As to the non completed problems, I thought I had gone back and closed those out, responding to each separately. I missed responding to one, and have since done so.

 

Skysarge, do you have Windows 7 64-bit?

 

It helps to know that your problems are solved, and it is good to answer any thread you open to clarify the situation- even if suggested help does not work, then it will give someone helping you. an opportunity to give more help, or, advice in their effort to solve your problem.

Followed instructions to update Win.7, per game forum. Did so. Updates were security updates.
Returned to game sign on. Unable to sign on, game requires entering email address and password. Cannot get any information entered. Game has selection tabs for signing on if previously registered, or for setting up new account. Tried to cue previously registered, could not. Checked to see if perhaps earlier registration had failed and do new registration, but could not set up that either. I cannot get game to accept any information or respond to cues. Nothing I type is showing up on the registration screen.

 

Turn off any adblocking / tracking protection, restart your browser and try again.
If all else fails, you can contact, or submit a request to, Grey Box.
