Looking For Recommends On Smart Tv Or Stupid, Not Sure Yet:)

I want to buy a Television with a headphone jack. I would like to get some feedback on Smart TVs, and if you have one, or have a good review for a certain brand. I was quoted a price on an RCA LED 32" with headphone jack at 229.00. I don't want to spend over 500.00 so this sounded good. There are also friends that say this brand or that brand is good.

I know people here, and rather than go to sites where I know no one, I'd like to hear from some of you if you could help me with some input?

I have headphones already, they kind of squeeze my head, but I have to wear them to hear a TV. A soundbar isn't any good for me as I live in an apartment with other seniors. Oh, and the tv has to have a GOOD sound leveler (I think it's called). That's important to me as well. I will also need at least 2 HDMI slots, for my DVD Player, and possibly my Roku 2 if I don't find a good Smart TV I can afford.

PS I have tried to figure out the whole, headphone thing, when you have a tv without the jack, and that definitely will not work for me. Got to have a TV with a jack

 

Why not a TV that can do wifi or Bluetooth headphones instead of a jack? That would give you more options.

 

I'm thinking I will go for speakers/sound system Mimsy. Weighing out all the options, I think the wireless speakers (putting one on each side of me where I usually sit to watch TV) is the best idea for my situation. I don't like the headphones if I can avoid using them. Also, I know I'd heard of the wireless speakers, but someone reminded me of them yesterday. And I am pretty sure they will work with the TV I have. It has Digital Out Audio but I bought a converter a few weeks ago if I need that. I don't think I will though as I found this article on hooking speakers up:

Here is my panel on back of my TV. Sanyo DP32242.

 

I'm so discouraged but it won't help me to give up, so I'll see if someone can help me. The picture of my TV panel is above in post #4. Then I will show you the parts I have that are supposed to work to provide headphones with sound. I tried the wired headphones in the picture, cheap wired headphones. But they worked. I was so happy. But when I went to watch a movie, I could still hear the TV speakers, and the sound through the headphones. So I turned the speakers "off" on the TV, and I could still hear through the headphones. But no volume control at all, to the headphones.

So now, I can only try, again, to hook up the wireless set of headphones I bought cheap as well because they do have a volume control. I'm not going to hook them up though because when I tried them earlier, I couldn't get any sound from them at all. I must have hooked them up wrong, maybe. I really don't know. So below, I'll put a pic of the 3 things I already had. Then in a separate attachment, I'll show you the new set of "wireless" headphones I got today.
