    I need help with malware removal. Not sure how it slipped past Malwarbytes.
    Running Windows 7 32 bit.
    I've made a mistake running Hitman, I forgot to check "only one time scan"
    MG Tools has been running for 8 hours but has not progressed past running analyse.exe
    I cannot find getlogs.bat

    Please rerun Hitman and remove everything it found. Then reopen RogueKiller and remove these items:

    Reboot and rescan with both Hitman and RogueKiller and attach the new logs.

    Did you right click and choose to "run as administrator"?

    What about the MBAM log and the ADWCLeaner log?

    You should be looking for MGLogs.zip.

    And you should also read this:
    Warning about cracked software Cracked Software.

    AWD Cleaner, it was at the top of the list, oops missed it. Log file tries to open with a media player. I've attached a screen shot instead.
    MG Tools finally finished a few hours later - log attached
    When I re-run RogueKiller I could not find these ¤¤¤ Registry : 23 ¤¤¤
    [PUP.RegCurePro|PUP.Gen1] HKEY_USERS\RK_User_ON_E_607E\Software\ParetoLogic -> Found
    [PUP.Gen1] HKEY_USERS\RK_User_ON_E_607E\Software\ProgSense -> Found

    Yes, I right clicked and ran as administrator
    I think think the problem started after installing DVDflick which I paid for.
    Thanks

    Just have ADW remove the one item it found. What issues are you still having?

    Thanks Tim, it seems better but internet access for some sites and Teamviewer. At least I no longer get a message that I am out of data.
    Conhost.exe, should this be running?

    I changed browser and got the message that I am out of data, supposedly from my ISP but the address is a little suspicious. I've tried another computer that uses the same account and it connects fine

    "It's a completely legitimate executable—as long as it's running from the system32 folder, and is signed by Microsoft."

    What message are you getting from the ISP?

    Seems to have been linked to my phone, seems strange that opening up a new browser tab for another site would jump to my phone provider. Anyway, thanks all seems to be ok now. I did delete conhost.pref for no particular reason, this seems to have helped but I have no idea what I'm doing.

    Please look at the screen shot, is this normal?

    I don't use Win7, so I don't know. I suggest you follow this up in the software forum.

    If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Re-enable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.
    3. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    4. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8 or 10, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    5. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    6. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    7. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    Thanks Tim, it's working as per normal now.
