Windows Update Mini Tool - Only In Russian?

However I try I can only get this software to run in russian language.. Ive tried downloading it from two different sources..
I saw somewhere else that someone had it run in spanish (or so he thought.. maybe it was russian), so there might be others thats having this issue as well.. However no resolution was posted for him so I thought Id try here.

What I ultimately want to do is to provide optional updates for my windows 10 machine the same way that windows 7 had... It was a good way to make sure I had all the drivers I needed... Since I have a new HP laptop and its been having some issues I figured I could maybe be missing some drivers for it.

My Eset is telling me that there are optional updates for me to download but theres no way for me to find them in win 10 pro.

not even sure i got the update to install anything.. It just basically runs directly..

Exactly.. there is no install process at all.. You just run the file directly and it starts..

There is NO installation here.. You really get it in english if you install this current version?

 

I downloaded it from that major geeks link and it installed and appeared in English. Maybe it's your system that has a problem.

 

How can that be...
Ive tried it on both my laptop and desktop.. There is no other problems and has never ever been any other problems of this sort before..
Also in the release thread of this program (the comments in the presentation and download section of this program) there are other users that recently complained that this program is in spanish !? So Im not alone to get this error ..

 

If everyone here testing it is getting it in English then we can't help you.
The developer's website is dead (they are Mexican) and their Wilder's Forum thread is dead
Just forget about it, move on and use something else.

 

Fair enough... I can forget this program but do you know any other program that can enable me to download the optional updates in windows 10? Im missing this function that was in windows 7 where you can download optional drivers etc that windows update was providing in windows 7 but seems to be gone in win 10..

You are incorrect about Windows Update in Win 10. So long as you check the box in Update & Security > Advanced Options it will include verified updates for non MS driver updates or you can use MS'S official offline installer
WSUS - you can find it on MG downloads site.
You could also easily find that with a simple internet search.

 

Well first of all windows 10 built in windows update does not give any control to the user in what and what not to download. And second it does not download all of the drivers that you might expect like win 7 does (with the option turned on that u described).
When I use my ESET antivirus notifications on windows update notifications I see that there are availible downloads for many important things like USB, intel, realtek audio and ethernet drivers etc... This is not possible to download through windows 10 anymore nomatther what option you use. This was not the case in windows 7!

Im trying this WUSU now but I think mostly it will do the same.. That is download everything that is OS related and maybe some drivers for some things but I am for sure missing the better funcionality of windows 7 .. It found even drivers for my monitor/USB hubs etc..

Also no control in WUSU .. No idea what its actually downloading and what its not.. That WUMT could at least tell me what is found and let me pick..

 

Windows Update in Win 10 does include driver updates for some non-MS hardware. I have two such updates. However, apart from a user being able to search for updates for every single component via Device Manager > Properties, it is actually the device developer's responsibility to stream driver updates - not Microsoft. If you want instead use a free program such as Iobit's Driver Booster. Don't complicate this simple issue.

By the way WUMT wouldn't even give you the driver updates you mentioned.

It is not a simple issue and you talk about google.. Google it yourself too see how this is not a simple issue and how no real and good solution is availible. Im also active in several other forums and only answer I got was this WUMT that might help.

Simple issue my a$$... Go to device manager? and right click everything there and go update driver? The ones im trying to update are already with a generic microsoft driver which is not good for functionality and no other driver is possible to download here through this update function in taks manager. ONLY if it has NO driver at all.. I thought you knew this..

Blaim the developers.. Sure.. But this worked perfectly FINE in windows 7 so why suddenly blaim them for microsoft removing this function in windows 10. Simplifying it to a very basic level with no finetuning and control.
And we are not talking about the weirdest developers like a special headset with drivers from a local china company that is not yet a microsoft signed driver.. We are talking intel chipset updates, java updates, realtek, asmedia USB and SATA drivers for motherboard.. All these worked fine in win 7 font forget this... Developers didnt change microsoft did.
