Heliospaint: Editing .jpg's

Hi! I want to sell some stuff on eBay and already have the pictures. Now, I need to edit the pictures: I need to correct the blur and add text on a white background. How do I do that?

 

I think I have IrfanView. Thanks!

 

In IrfanView, how do I sharpen an image? I tried the Sharpen Image option, and it didn't do enough.

 

Xnview and Gimp are my favorites.

 

You can use Paint.NET.

When you say 'correct the blur' it does depend on how out of focus the image is as to what can be adjusted!
If you post the image opinions and remedies will be more focused (Sorry about the pun).

IMO... None.
The image is so bad you cannot possibly fix it with free software - even GIMP and Paint.NET which are both excellent programs can only do so much.
This is the best I can do with Paint.Net.

 

I was able to do a little better with GIMP but didn't save the changes. BTW, how do I attach an image from my hard drive?

 

Below your post to the right, click Upload a File and then click Browse.

BTW Are you trying to sell an arcade console?

 

When you select you image it won't show up or at least it hasn't for me but when you click Post Reply it'll be there.

 

After selecting your file, don't click the Close button - wait for the dialogue box to close.
Then select Thumbnail or Full image.

Uhh...I can't find the sharpen option again in GIMP. Where is it?

 

Eldon: I did it my way so my audience can see how the games look on a real Commodore 64. Otherwise, I have a lot of pictures taken from an emulator and could use them.
