"cmd" Entry In My Right Click Menu?

After a single malicious file got through my security defenses recently, I just finished up the malware scanning process over in the other forum. However, I'm now seeing a "cmd" entry in my right click menu. When I click on it, I get an error message about it not being associated with a program. I researched it and it's the exact problem found at this link. The admin in the other forum said this isn't malware related, so I should ask here.

This wasn't present before scanning. Why was this created and how do I remove that?

 

UPDATE:

Upon further research, could it be that this was a former entry in my right click menu that has become corrupted and now started displaying this way (vs. the "cmd" being added after the fact as a new entry)? The specific error is related to Explorer.exe when clicked. But it's not in the "Open" position, but further down the list of the right click menu. It also appears in other positions depending on where I click (IE: "cmd" is listed in different places when right clicking the desktop vs a hard drive)

 

Have you tried Fix #1 in the link you posted?

 

Thanks for following up. Yup, I tried both fixes in #1 and downloaded the "CMD" reg file for Windows 7 in fix #2. Nothing is working. Just figured someone has come across this at some point in the past and knows what caused it (and more importantly how to fix it).

 

You need to click Windows 7 in Fix #2 and then download the fixes for Directory, Drive & Folder.
