We usually pull out playing Willie Nelson's On The Road Again lol. We're leaving Monday for Arkansas to work with and raise money for pets misplaced by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma. We'll settle there for the summer as concert season begins in June. We'll be doing weekend concerts with other local groups to raise funds for food, medication, and adoption for the animals. There were many dogs, cats, rabbits and birds that had no tags to identify who their owners were. Local resources were limited or destroyed so they had to be sent other places. A retired doctor in Hot Springs who used to care for exotic animals people had bought for pets then realized they couldn't care for them opened his facilities to house as many as he had room for. My parents both being doctors and my mom being a vet will help with caring for the sick ones while me and my sister and brothers will help clean cages and exercise them.

I usually start any road trip with that song. Especially if going to cross state lines. When I cross into Mississippi I let out a Yeee Hawwww for being 'home'...

That's some good work your people and you are doing all the time! It's good to know there are still folks out there doing such as that!
I have people in Biloxi that had groups come around taking care of the downed trees and helping put tarps on the roofs and covering broken windows and such after Katrina and to some of the older people the help really means a lot!
    Good job!

We haven't even got there yet LOL. Will be leaving in about an hour. Going to stop several places along the way so looking to get there next Monday or Tuesday. Not sure if the cages are large ones or kennel type.

Every time I see this thread pop up I get that song stuck in my head.:p
    On the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again
    On the road again
Goin' places that I've never been
Seein' things that I may never see again
And I can't wait to get on the road again

Here we go, on the road again
Like a band of Gypsies we go down the highway
    We're the best of friends
Insisting that the world keep turnin' our way
And our way is on the road again
I just can't wait to get on the road again
The life I love is makin' music with my friends
And I can't wait to get on the road again, break free
And I can't wait to get on the road again:p

:pThat's funny!!!!!! We're at the Cadillac Ranch in Texas. This is one place you don't want to miss if you're on I-40. We're partly following Route 66 and saw some of the vehicles that inspired the characters in the Toy Story Movies. There's a lot of classic cars especially Caddies.

Thank you LauraR, we do have fun when time allows. We all like history and cultural places like museums, native American gift shops, and reenactments.
