I recently installed a psu, cpu, and heat sink. My computer shows that I have 32GB of ram installed but only 16GB useable.

I tried it all except updating bios. Could someone walk me through it? What mother board I have, how to flash, etc

A little confused here. What do the PSU, CPU and heatsink have to do with your RAM? Was the full 32GB usable before you installed those parts?

Yes, it was usable before I upgraded.
I updated bios and that didn’t work either.

What is Speccy (from the makers of CCleaner) showing?

    Good point.
All three have zero to do with the amount of RAM.
    FWIW...
The CPU's FSB speed can only effect the RAM speed, not the amount of RAM.

I cannot read that. It might be best to "publish" the Speccy results.
    1. In Speccy, click File, and then click Publish Snapshot.
    2. In the Publish Snapshot dialog box, click Yes to enable Speccy to proceed.
    3. Speccy creates the profile of your system specs and displays a link in a second Publish Snapshot window. Click Copy to Clipboard.
    4. Paste that link into your reply here.
Note that Speccy does not collect or publish any personal information.

    That clearly shows 32GB installed.

Where are you seeing only 16GB is usable? What do you see in Task Manager > Performance tab > Memory?

    Task manager says 6.9/15.9GB

Any suggestions? I even asked it nicely.

It has nothing to do with how polite you were. I don't know why only 16GB is usable. Speccy shows you have 4 x 8GB installed. Windows 10 Home supports up to 128GB.

The only area I am having a problem with is verifying your motherboard specs. The ASUS website only shows the computer and not that specific board (so not sure that is the right version of that board). It shows 8GB but not how many slots. Crucial, on the other hand does show 4 x 8GB is supported - but again, not that specific board. And the Crucial page also has that little asterisk (*) disclaimer, "*Not to exceed manufacturer supported memory." I don't really know what that means either.

Have you tried swapping the pairs of RAM into different slots?

What is really confusing me is you said all 32GB was recognized before. Did you reinstall Windows too? If not, then nothing should have changed there either. If you did re-install Windows, maybe some normally default setting was some how changed. I don't know.

See if this helps. It may seem counter-intuitive but as this guide says, make sure the Maximum memory box is unchecked. Same with Number of processors. While this is W8.1, it should be the same for for W10.

Another thing to try is to use a linux live CD. Or boot to usb drive to see if linux sees the full 32 GB of ram.
