I love Monty Python. Back before we had VCRs my friends and I would recite the lyrics to the lumberjack song that we heard the night before on TV. All of Monty Python is now on Netflix. :)

a friend and i watched it at a movie theater our last year in high school. absolutely brilliant, i have never laughed so hard.
however, i was a tad disappointed with how the movie ended. i get the feeling that they, themselves, did not know how to end the movie. i have no idea how else it could have ended, but at least the ending credits were pretty funny, too.

Where the heck did you come up with this? Are you saying an actor was actually killed during filming as opposed to his character being killed on screen? Because if you are, you're the only person on the planet to say so.

i found this text file ages and ages ago.
it's a text file of the screenplay.
i have never read through its contents completely, because it is really really long, 185KB for a text file.

No they where stating why they could not make up the ending.

The police showing up at the end was the plot.

And to answer your question no.Tibbs if you never watched the movie.Watch it over again. There is a plot in the movie.

I'm honestly not sure what you're saying here; could be there's a language barrier? Are you claiming an actor was ACTUALLY KILLED while filming?

I've seen the movie easily two dozen times, by the way. Obviously it has a plot... pretty much every movie ever has a plot.

Perhaps Wile is referring to this:

"Terry Gilliam dies more than any other actor in this movie, with a grand total of 4 deaths. His characters that die are the Green Knight (sword through the face), Sir Bors (decapitated by the Killer Rabbit), the Animator (major heart attack), and the Bridgekeeper/Soothsayer (cast into the "Gorge of Eternal Peril"). John Cleese and Terry Jones, by contrast, have no death scenes in this film at all."

I was having a rough day yesterday.Sorry if i said any thing to upset you.I try not to take out my frustration on others.

But yes Tim is correct in the post above. It's his chars that dies multi times. Not the actor him self. The police where there at the end to bust up the party so to speak.

You didn't upset me, it was just frustrating trying to figure out what you were trying to say, due to the interesting format of your posts. Because what you said was a knight killed an actor on set, which implies there was an actual death on set as opposed to characters dying in various scenes of the movie.

    Depends on what it is.

It's just google wants the rights to these movies and charge people 3 or 4 dollars per video. If this person owns it on dvd and technically it's not copy right.Google want's to be stingy greedy you know what.

Youtube never really cared about this type of thing until google took it over and started to charge people.

If someone buys a DVD, it says right on it the DVD is to be shown for non-commercial purposes. Which means they are allowed to show it in their own home, not post it on YouTube so people who did not purchase the DVD can watch it. Make sense?

And by the way, the people who actually hold the copyright? They've cared about it since the first time someone shared a copy of a film on actual film to which they did not hold distribution rights, well before YouTube, Google, or even the internet was a glimmer in someone's eye.

"We’re mobilizing our members to speak up about the value of creativity, the importance of copyright in protecting creativity, and the massive harm caused by the global theft of our creative works."

I only go there if i am board and just watch random stuff to kill time.

I understand there is no such thing as free. And like i said thing's are not what they use to be 20 years ago.And when i mean not like they use to be.I mean thing's use to be a lot cheaper and more better product.

Some of this stuff does not last a year.

But any who i was just mad they took down a classic movie like that.

    Hypo scenerio :
I buy a book from amazon, the courier delivers it......Its a classic love story and I cant put it down till done!
Once i finished reading, I gave it to mom to read because i know she will just love it.

    Am i breaking copy-write law?

Should mom have gone online and purchased her own copy?

Its merely a .txt file........is it different for richer content such as .mov or .wmv?

Wile makes a valid, if not mal-aligned point. ;)

The books not being broadcast to thousands on YT i know, but shouldn't even a single illegal viewing match a million?
Within the context of the law that is :)

    https://www.brookings.edu/blog/broo...o-borrow-a-book-but-not-share-a-digital-song/

Primary difference being, if you have one physical copy of something, only one person can read/view it at a time. In order to share your one physical copy of a DVD online, you have to make a copy of it. Copying it is illegal.

Exactly. But if you copy the book and disperse it....that's where you can get into trouble.

Hollywood box office profits continue to rise every year despite their reluctance for us to share........The Holy Grail hasn't figured lately, and is hardly 'box office' countable.
Its the way of the world, if i could get royalties for my input here, I would. Its my creation?
But if someone quotes my post, I'll sue their ass off :p

Umm .... not really. You can pass a read book to someone else just as you can have friends over to watch a movie. You can also give the movie to someone else....but you can't copy either.

Hehe...reminds me of the time I played drums for a Muslim cover band.
We had a regular thursday nite gig at the Syrian Arms Hotel in Melb.
Had some great hits that always brought the house down :D......'losing my head over you', 'Rocket launcher Man', and more

All was well until one night we had a run in backstage.
The boys asked me if i had read the Koran......I said no i hadn't, but would be keen to take a view.

The guitarist said he had the original script on DVD, I said great!
Would you mind burning me a copy?.........thats when the sh*t hit the fan!

  41. Sgt. Tibbs

    Sgt. Tibbs Ultra Geek

Overly simplified, yes. But it really depends on what rights you have purchased to go along with your copy, physical or digital. If you purchase one digital copy of a movie, then you own that just as you would a DVD. But if you copy it or distribute it, then you are breaking the law.

What's funny for me when people talk about "box office profit" is they have no idea what they're talking about. Did a movie gross $2.3 million at the box office? That sounds amazing, doesn't it?

Doesn't take into account the $20.3 million it cost to make the movie.

"Walt Disney Studios announced Monday that it would be taking a $200 million, second quarter write-down related to the science-fiction flop John Carter. If the film continues to be such an epic dud at the box office, it will force the studio to record an operating loss between $80 million and $120 million for the quarter. John Carter provides a stark reminder that profiting from art is not an exact science. If the $200 million figure comes to fruition, this box-office debacle will win the dubious distinction of biggest box office loser of all time. Here are the ten movies that have lost the most money so far, but watch out guys, John Carter is catching up fast."
