I thought you need to get away from all the work and city life. A fishing trip is always a great way to relax. Don't worry, the wife will clean the fish. She's just having a nap in the tent.

I didn't have much of a day as I was supposed to be getting the rest of my stitches out of my abdomen (I had several lumps removed) and after they removed the dressing said it didn't look too good. Another plastic surgeon came in to have a look and by the time they finished poking and prodding it was very sore. Upshot is the stitches will probably come out next Monday. After all this I didn't feel like going out for birthday dinner so I postponed the restaurant from Friday night to Saturday night.

You are correct Laura and now when I am writing this it is 6:45am Saturday the 28th.

@Eldon thanks for the great cake it is perfect.......hmmm....I am pretty sure my wife won't be cleaning the fish hehehe

Tonight we will be going out to a nice Japanese restaurant called Okami to celebrate and all my family will be there.

It was a couple of cancer lumps, one on my cheek just below my left eye and the other was on my abdomen left side. They took the face stitches out last Monday but the ones on my abdomen were a problem because they didn't seal one of the blood vessels where the cut the lump was removed which caused the incision to ooze blood and so healing has been slow. I have been seeing my doctor every second day to have the dressings changed and I go back to the plastic surgeon next Monday. Here's hoping for some good news

 

Happy Birthday, Joffa! I'm sorry you're having such a hard time of it, and hope you heal well and put all this behind you posthaste.

In the mean time, how about some chocolate-peanut butter cake? Or maybe one with chocolate chip cookies?
