So only minority were targeted. What happens when all the minorities are gone? Then people with lessor desired traits next?

“Firearms are the only consumer product the federal government does not regulate for health and safety,” states VPC Legislative Director Kristen Rand. “Meanwhile, science-based regulations have dramatically reduced deaths from motor vehicles in recent decades. It’s well past time that we regulate firearms for health and safety just like all other consumer products.”

This from the last vpcdotorg link above.

It shows 21 states had more firearm deaths than cars. So I take it the other 29 had less. And though is shows neglect in no regulations for safety and health in firearms for consumers, it does point out that safety regulations have been applied to cars. And still hundreds and thousands deaths.
I think it takes responsibility in the use of both items.

Yes, and sadly almost twice as many die from suicide committed with a firearm . (± 50% of suicide victims.)

[QUOTE="TimW, post: 2015829, member: 26995"But I am very confused as to your point. [/QUOTE]

Because you choose to ague before you understand. My point is the paradox is funny.
If you can not find support for what I pointed out I am guessing your search engines are not politically neutral.

BTW I agree with your stance for common sense.

Google? OK, how about DuckDuckGo? Nothing on who is for open borders citing Hillary, Obama or Soros.

    However:
    https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/open-borders-immigration-real/

Now if your search engine gives you results naming the above three....please cite them.

You cited Salon in a link ....absolutely nothing to do with the above three. In fact:
"President Donald Trump is taking advantage, for white nationalist purposes, of a legacy of tragically unfair rules that have defined our immigration system ever since it has existed. "

Now do you understand my confusion with your posts?

    And I did find this:

You are not searching Google for "Soros Open Borders" or Google gives you very different results than I get.

I don't disagree with your findings but am offended that you ignore what I say and then post your own opinion as a rebuttal.

Well, I am truly sorry if I offended you....I was a little busy at the time. However, exactly what does this discussion have to do with gun control?

How do you suggest human behavior be regulated? How would you restrict everyone's hands and feet to prevent future crimes by said hands and feet?

Human behaviour is regulated by laws.

Hey Fred why not a "Minority Report" situation to detect future mass killings by hands and feet and then prevent them from happening........hmmm ..........maybe when this proves successful they can switch their gaze to gun owners....

Maybe we need to change guns? Imprint grips - the gun will only work for the person that buys it due to print recognition in the grip. Then register ballistics so when the police find a bullet they know who shot it. This should bring guns closer to cars in availability and responsibility. Yearly testing with ballistics updates. Failing the proficiency test requires a re-test or sale of the weapon. Protecting privacy might be a nightmare, but not impossible.
Yes, this is a difficult solution but perhaps easier than trying to change people. Some criminals will defeat it, but it should give the ignorant criminal second thoughts.

Various methods of print readers and rfid has been available for a couple years now. Amazingly people fight the idea. Some civilians (me included) like the idea. However some backlash from others (nra, senators, and other vocal media types) downplay the idea as encroachment on rights, or too slow in a moment of need, or any of a number of other arguments. Myself, I would like any gun of mine to be protected from being fired by anyone other than myself or maybe my spouse. I also realize that any thing mechanical or electronic can be hacked or defeated with enough knowledge or time! But any extra step could add to the ability of miscreants being slowed down and sometimes preventing one from getting to use a firearm they shouldn't have a right or access to. I wouldn't be able to trust one 100% but a step in the right direction in my book. Amazing to me that this isn't part of the broader scope of thinking when it comes to common sense gun laws. One topic here:
