    Hi,
When i hover over a zip file or say a photo etc & right click,i should then be able to move down the options list & then just go across to the right & make the selection.
This is where you see a small mark adveed to click it each time.
    Any advice please

    Windows 7 32bit

So you are talking about the DROP down menu when you right click. Is it not working or is there an issue were it's just not showing when it should.

    Let me explain.
In the Right click menu, you have a small black mark which tells you that there is a sub menu alongside the text.
Normally this sub menu flies out.
My problem is that I now need to click it as it does not automatically fly out.

Left or right of the sub menu isn’t what I’m talking about.

The sub menu flies out but only if I click where before it would do it automatically

My best guess is that the MenuShowDelay setting in the registry is set to a very high number.
Extract the registry file from the attached zip archive, double click and allow it to merge with the registry. Log off and back on for the change to take effect.

400 delayed timer is wrong. The timer should be 0 for it to auto and no click.

400 is the default time and works fine.

Mine is adjusted to 0 when i use advance system care.

It might work fine for a short time. But after a while it will become sluggishly slow.

    Hi,
I changed it to 0 & then it worked perfect.
I then tried it again straight after and now gone back to having to click it even whilst setting it at 0

Download Tweaking.Com - Windows Repair portable and extract the folder from the archive.
Boot into Safe Mode then run Repair_Windows.exe and accept the EULA.

Select Repairs - Main then Open Repairs.
    Select repairs:
    • 04 - Register System Files
    • 10 - Remove Policies Set By Infections
In When Repairs Complete select Restart System.
    Press Start Repairs.

Test your PC again once it has rebooted.

  26. theremotedr

    theremotedr Master Sergeant

You mean in the tree of ContextMenuHandlers ?
    Below that folder i see,SkyDriveEx,Gadgets,New,Sharing

Or did i need to click on one of them to see info on the right ??

    Thanks

Tomorrow I will try that and see what happens.
Regarding SkyDrive I don’t even know what this is.

  29. Eldon

    Eldon Major Geek Extraordinaire

    SkyDrive was renamed OneDrive.

Under the Registry key (HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Directory\Background\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers) I have Gadgets, New & Sharing.
Right-click SkyDriveEx, click Export and name it.
Again right-click SkyDriveEx, click Delete, close Registry Editor and restart.

If it doesn't work then try the link in post #27.

    Hi,
Post #29 had no affect so i am now to look at post #27

What should i do with the file that i exported to the desk top, just delete it ??

  31. theremotedr

    theremotedr Master Sergeant

    Hi,
I have followed the advice as in post #27 but still the same.
I went back to the registry and changed & made sure the value was 0 of which it was.

What i have noticed is that if i left click a file or folder then right click the menu then flies out super fast.
If i just right click the same file or others etc then no menu flies out at all.

So the menu only flies out if i left click then right click.

    Here we go,

I selected say 3 at a time & disabled them.
I then tried my right click menu.
This didnt work so i enabled these 3 & then disabled another 3 & carried on like that.

I read some of your log's.Did you download any thing lately and try to run it with out scanning it first. Some stuff seems legit but some stuff is packed with malware.

We will go through more cleaning steps after tim gives you the ok clear.

Can you advise which ones you are refering to please.

  45. theremotedr

    theremotedr Master Sergeant

I mean which ones do you see packed with Malware,i can then advise if it was recent or a while ago.
Some get flagged up as malware but i use them all the time but then i dont know which ones you are refering to.

  46. Anon-469e6fb48c

    Anon-469e6fb48c Anonymized

Well the Cryptpko class is reported as a trojan as seen in this list https://www.google.com/search?ei=Mr........0....1j2..gws-wiz.......0i71.qp77wgeVbEs

Most of the stuff you scanned is really PUP.Which can just be as bad as a trojan.PUP.Conduit can be considered as malware as well. The reason why it got a hit on scans.I bet a lot of this stuff is hidden or hiding in your %temp% folder and in your %appdata%folder.malware loves to hide in these folders.
