Back Again-no Reply Re Revo Uninstaller

recap: app few weeks ago,was told to try REVO uninstaller.I went offline after that.Used to use it years ago.Unfortunately,I did (earlier)buy ASC package which inc IOBIT Pro uninstaller. I said REVO worked once,then nothing. Have seen no reply,but,as I also mentioned,the IOBIT uninstalled it.Out of annoyance,I installed REVO portable today 2/6 and ran:first time was perfect.Could not open after that ( same as before)
found this added on to REVO properties/IOBIT was on security prop also : "revoun__IobitDel.exe"

I know I have to "uninstall" ASC,and 4 of their other programs ("uninstall"?? that is a joke as the key registry is jammed full...every reputable site says you have to manually remove everything ).

NO need to reply.Logic dictates programs do conflict.I have the problem solved:my husband will have a Toshiba laptop in near future,with WIN7 OS. Completely "loaded". He will not know the difference,unless it will not "work".Again,no problem.He will royally break it and use the parts.Laptop was free "junk"anyway.We refurbished and I,never again,bought the garbage ASC.
You know,I am seriously thinking of filing class action suits on data mining."They" owe me for my data! I keep track in a hand written journal.Screw the computer.

 

What's your primary objective? Are you trying to get an uninstaller program working on your computer?

 

Hello, I am representative of Revo Uninstaller and it's developer. We have noticed this thread and because the problem have not been reported to us previously, we have decided to investigate it
We have tested the free version of Advanced Systemcare with all versions of Revo Uninstaller to see if we can reproduce the problem that was described
If the scan by Advanced Systemcare is done you will encounter some problems with Revo Uninstaller Free Portable. After the scan, some files of Revo Uninstaller Free Portable are being blocked preventing normal startup
Also Revo Uninstaller Free Portable cannot display the installed programs properly. It is possible that after the scan with ASC, Revo Uninstaller cannot access some Registry items.

Problems were noticed with Revo Uninstaller Pro Portable as well. The update process is being blocked and the startup process is slower then it should be.

Currently we cannot offer any workaround for the reported issues.

If you represent VS Revo Group you should know the problem is not with Revo Uninstaller.

What did you test?

 

We have downloaded the free version of Advanced Systemcare and check if there is a compatibility issue with all versions of Revo Uninstaller.
The Free portable version of Revo Uninstaller cannot be used properly.
The starting process of the Pro Portable version is slowed down and the Autoupgrade feature is blocked

 

The problem is with IObit Advanced SystemCare.
Malwarebytes is also crippled by IObit Advanced SystemCare.

 

THANK YOU!! YES,IOBIT causes all the problems.Finally,I got the admission! I knew in my gut,it was wrong.My logic did not fail. Well,Eldon and (others),the senior lady is not as wack a doodle as I may present myself at times.I may not be an IT pro,but reason and logic never fail.Believe in yourself.Have tenacity.Unfortunately,I did until I almost dropped.You see,I have found exactly where IOBIT,et al has insinuated itself into MANY other WIN/nonWindow programs.Took me 12 hours working in the registry.Please keep this thread running.Other users THINK they have errors etc.Please check if you are using IOBIT,ASC,MalwareFighter,their Defragger program...anything from them.They have Bluebird,// (yes,the 2 forward slashes in the key reg are theirs),look in the Library,Task Scheduler,hidden ADS streams,constant handlers, etc etc. These are just a meager example of where they are. Iobit et al has removed a citizen's private use of their personal computer.Damages are significant not only to myself,but others as well.

To IOBIT: Iobit has deliberately,maliciously withheld information from the general public.The damages you have caused are significant. I want my money back,plus damages you caused me.I underwent extreme duress,physically and mentally.I am a disabled senior citizen.I am currently confined to bed because of you.

To REVO: YOU have also withheld info...deliberately.

Can you clarify what you did with advance systemcare.I have been running advance systemcare since beta testing and never have had a single problem.I know some of the staff members and can redirect you to them.There is nothing wrong with advance systemcare.You must have don't some thing wrong.

If you are talking about Registry.Advance system does change registry settings.Can you be more specific on what caused these issues.

Some should think out of the computer box,please.There are privacy laws,freedom/right to (reasonably)enjoy etc.Computer/programming laws go beyond 'repair' forums.Sorry for your misunderstanding.My bad.

IObit is indeed owned by a Chinese Corporation. It operates under “GET Holdings Limited.” The company formerly known as "M Dream Inworld Limited" changed its name to "GET Holdings Limited" in November 2014.

The “Apperience Corporation” originally incorporated as a Cayman Islands Corporation, was the original listed owner of the US Trademark of IObit. However, the Apperience Corporation and its trademarked products IObit and Bluespring were purchased by M Dream Inworld Limited in 2013.

fyi:here is a paper trail:ATHLETIC Gold Investments (China) funded M Dream Inworld purchase.Then,immediate paper trail name change to "GET Holdings".They all refuse to list ANY board member,directors etc.Cite China under no law to do so.
I thought you might be interested to know facts,esp before downloading these "free" programs.

 

Just based on experience, out of the box Iobit software, while oh clever and efficiently written, does seem also seem to come with inherent security compromises and cutting biases built into the programming. There is probably no more than sketchiness in the programs, but there does seem to me to be risk there.

My solution is Comodo Programs Manager. Install CPM first thing installed on every system and no need for any other uninstaller. I do keep Revo Portable for occasionally getting a first look at removing a program and to check its findings against Comodo, but I don't use it very oftenly. CPM is good enough for me to feel like I can install a sketchy application in an emergency and then rully remove the app after use. If you install CPM, and reinstall your applications right over the top, CPM will record the installations and monitor them.

Iobit is software's version of the apple in Genesis. Eat at your own risk...
