Wow! I'm impressed with the way you guys go about building stuff - particularly when it comes to computers.

I remember a guy when I worked at IBMA who built an inhouse computer - the programming was extraordinary for the software to drive it and he literary made up the hardware from bits and pieces. It was a great talk item with school students coming through.

Because i like to do it old school.Back in the days there was no option like PC part picker you literally had to figure out which parts to get and figure out on your own.People don't think as much as they use to because of this tech.I mean look at kids these days. Most of the time they are either face sitting a smart phone or Iphone or playing there dumb Xbox and PS4's.Me personally i don't even want a phone. But have to have one due to work.

To not use existing guides, research or experience of others is just silly. The info available is one of the good things available on the internet, no matter how you connect.

I'm sure you wouldn't go to an auto parts store and just buy any oil filter and hope it fits your Ford Fiesta! No!
There is a cross reference book hanging there with all model cars and trucks with the correct light bulbs, oil filters, air filters, and even more. To not use guides would just make no sense when it is available.

The same with pc's and all required components. If the time is not put in for research, the experience will not be as good as it could have been. For you or for suppliers if you have to return items because of mis-match.
