Unknown Name Repeatedly Occurring In Searches

Should know but not sure where to post this - so here goes:

I’m finding this name "Terjemahkan halaman ini" cropping up regularly with internet searches.

Is this some sort of spam or corruption occurring?

I do regular cleanups, anti-malware, virus scans BEFORE, WHILE on line and AT shut downs using cleaners and antiviruses. I also have an antivirus scan active while online - so I'm trying to follow all precautions to ensure my computer is clean.

Sometimes the name goes away when on a new login and search, then returns when I do another new search. Can you advise why this occurs?

Please run adwcleaner, reboot to take care of whats needed.

Re-set browser settings to default and then run hitmanPro!

Reboot and then retest if issue remains?

Downloaded and ran "adwcleaner" and found it noted software I use as "PUP.Optional" such as ASC, DriverBooster, WinZip - Have gone through and find checking each if a real threat is a chore so guess my set up not suitable for "adwcleaner".



Also found running "adwcleaner" doesn't appear to remove the same name of "Terjemahkan halaman ini" from a web search as shown here after running latest versions of applications e.g. Advanced System Care and your suggestion of "adwcleaner":



Search can be for anything that has the same "Terjemahkan halaman ini"name cropping up which I find worrying:

 

What did you do with the identified threats?

Why are you using PCProtect and TotalAV?
Neither AV-Comparatives nor AV-Test even test these av programs which suggest they are mediocre. They are not even listed on Wikipedia.

Are you using a translator plug-in?

 

Neither am I!
I used Google Translator for Firefox.

Re "Identified threats" - those I recognised (e.g. AdvancedSystem Care) I left alone. Others deleted.

 

Those I recognised as not Threats (e.g.Advanced SystemCare) I left alone.

 

Looking at my list of applications, I have completely removed AV antivirus and now using Avira. Thanks.

 

"Translator" came up when I was looking and wanting to download antivirus SW. Found that annoying as I don't speak/am/have any connections to Indonesian SW/Downloads. So don't know what happened there...just found it annoying with that "Terjemahkan halaman ini" name cropping up - which no longer does now after clean ups.

Now back to having just the applications CCleaner, Advanced SystemCare and MalWare Fighter which I find manageable and good at keeping things clean.

Yes. Have no PCProtect and no TotalAV.

Does it occur from google searches on all browsers?
Have you tried others?

It may be an adware browser add-on or plug as stated, testing all the big3 browsers may help narrow it down.

 

Apologies for late response. Yes. It was appearing whenever doing a search from either browser Google or Firefox. No longer occurring since removing PCProtect and TotalAV.
