Last year I gave away a 'pull through' scanner. It was connected via a powered Parallel port.

 

I still have old 386 boards, all kinds of 5 1/4" disks and old processors in one of my sheds. They were in slightly protected containers, but sadly 3 trees fell on it during hurricane Michael. I haven't fully demo'd it far enough to get to the stuff. I even have a Windows 1.0 floppy in the mix. Probably all the floppies lost.

 

I believe there's a couple of these in there too.

 

These are parallel connectors.

 

Still standard to day lol.
