I would be grateful if the logs from this laptop could be checked.

This PC has always been sluggish and I doubt it came with a load of malware on it. The manufacturer is Acer and the retailer was Argos.

Today, though I have been trying to send an email with an attachment. I open my browser (Firefox), go to the website for my email provider, login, compose an email, put in the recipient’s email address and a subject line and a brief message. Then I click on attach a file and every time I’m scrolling through file upload to select the file Firefox crashes.

I think AdAware and Rogue Killer found things; although, I don't know if they found PUPs or serious malware.

Remove everything found by ADWCleaner...reboot and rescan with ADW and attach the new log, please.

I removed everything found by ADWCleaner. I don't understand why it finds pre-installed software from the manufacturer a problem and if there removal will impact the way the machine functions.

    I rebooted.

I rescanned with ADW and I attach the new log.

There is a lot of junk pre-installed. But your log looks good now.....are you still having any malware issues?

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    3. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    5. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    6. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

Was it causing harm to my PC? I think 'junk' is a relative term and what may be junk to someone may not be to someone else. I've so far noted two changes to this laptop PC since AdAware removed the Acer pre-installed software. My PC no longers tells me if Caps Lock or Num Lock are on. This it did by symbols briefly coming up on the screen. There are no lights on the keyboard to indicate this.

    All these were your problems:
    Adware.pokki C:\Users\Default\AppData\Local\Host App Service
    Adware.pokki C:\Users\Jessica\AppData\Local\Host App Service
    Adware.pokki C:\Users\Mark\AppData\Local\Host App Service
    Adware.pokki C:\Users\Public\App Explorer

I apologize for missing the Acer items....you should be able to go to the Acer website and download:
    Preinstalled.AcerCareCenter
    Preinstalled.AcerConfigurationManager
    Preinstalled.AcerJumpstart
    Preinstalled.AcerQuickAccess
    Preinstalled.AcerQuickAccessService
    Preinstalled.AcerUEIPFramework
    Preinstalled.AcerUpdater
    Preinstalled.UserExperienceImprovementProgramService
