    Running Windows 8.1 64-bit
    Some lag time after mouse click for program, browser or file manager to open. I'm thinking it might be due to Norton scanning before opening.
    Slow restart. I've seen this problem in Windows 10. Don't recall it being a problem in Windows 8.1
    Cold boot seems to be fast.
    I ran the suggested scans.They found some items. Logs attached. Thank you.

    You may wish to have Hitman remove the coupon bar items it found. I would also suggest you change Norton to only scan on demand rather than on start up.
    Your MGLogs.zip is incomplete.

    What would cause the MGLogs.zip to be incomplete? Never happened before. I'll download and try running again. Thanks

    You have to agree to the HJT portion twice....you have to run it as Administrator...you may have to turn off UCP....or you just may have not waited until it said it was complete.

    yes, i just ran and finished MGTools again. I started it at 9:38 p.m. and it finished running at almost 10:30 p.m. Never took that long before. I thought I disabled Norton but it was still running in the background.

    I am uploading the MGlogs and the HitmanPro log after running it again to remove the coupon references.

    Your logs look good. I don't see any malware issues. Perhaps you might consider uninstalling Norton as a test.

    Slowness issues can be hard to figure out. I suggest you post in the software forum and answer these questions:
    * Is boot up slow?
    * Is shutdown slow?
    * Is browsing/surfing slow?
    * Is downloading slow?
    * Is running any application?
    * Is it also slow in safe boot mode?
    * Also are any process showing in Task Manager to be using a lot of CPU time?
    * Anything else slow?

    Since you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.
    2. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.
    3. If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8, it is time to make sure you have re-enabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    4. Now go to the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 or 10 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    5. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    6. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:
