    Welcome to MajorGeeks.

I've asked to have this moved. Software, such as a problem with Windows updates belong here
    https://forums.majorgeeks.com/forums/software.21/
It is also a good idea to mention what version of Windows 10 you are running.

Explain what you mean by disable. Does the computer turn off, black screen., fail to load Windows, popup an error or something else?

It would be quite exceptional for a .NET update to have a serious effect on Windows operationally, did you install any other updates around the same time?

Satrow, this might be related to the auto-pilot update included and then MS pulled because it was offered by mistake.

I can find very little on 4522741 and even MS points to a different KB for details, 4519573. I'm not sure if 4522741 had more than just the .NET updates in the bundle.

Please go into more detail about "disable". Someone who runs Windows 10 might be able to help. (I don't run Windows 10).

You must have .NET 3.5 and 4.8 installed.

In this article they mention another KB, 4519573.
And that can be downloaded from the catalog. https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Search.aspx?q=4519573

I don't see why it has two different numbers.

KB4522741 just appeared here this afternoon and has installed on two systems without any issues. Can you try system restore?

Just tried to install this update and it didn't work on mine. I keep getting missing some files and a error code.

Yeah, I did that. But that update is waiting to finish on the next restart. It won't let me uninstall that update as it is not finished.

If you don't have a recent system image to restore you might have to try Reset. That would clear out that unfinished update. It's on Shift+Restart >>
