Is It Possible To Create A Custom Iso With Pre Installed Programs?

Programs such as iTunes, VLC, Google Chrome, a few python executables etc

So that when i create a new virtual machine I won't have to install everything manually one by one?

I've been so confused googling this and need some beginner friendly steps.

which virtual machine program are you using? with virtual box, i am pretty sure there is an export function where you can export your VM into a different file format. what i have done with my virtual machine installs... i locate the file that represents my VM, usually the file that ends with a 'dot' hdd extension. i copy that off somewhere, [ well, actually i copy the whole folder that it is in ]. then when i install a new virtual machine, you have an option of pointing the new installation to an existing virtual machine hard drive. i point it at that file and away it goes. now, i have only done this with windows 2000 pro VM's, but i imagine it should be the same with any other operating system you are using. good luck with it.

 

I'm using oracle vm virtual box

 

principle should still be the same, the VM's hard drive will be a single file that is stored on your computer. you just need to figure out where that is, and just copy it somewhere. this is also a good way to backup the VM in case it blows up on you. yes you can take snapshots and other things, but i like to just copy and paste. it's easier.

 

If you have updated to the latest version- there is a clone icon on the top , and you can clone to use elsewhere - choose FULL CLONE
