Hi, I downloaded the major geeks installer version of Windows live essentials from the major geeks website (3MB exe file)

Windows Defender detects this as an Occamy trojan, Malware Bytes as Adware.

Is this just a false positive or should I be concerned?

    Thank you

Thanks. The concern I have is that I had already downloaded the file and tried to run it (so possibly made my system vulnerable)

Do those results in your link suggest it is something to be concerned about or is it just a false positive? I assume that they detect it as a different things suggests the latter?

    I doubt it.

Delete the file and do system scans with both Windows Defender and Malwarebytes.

Is there a place I should flag this with MajorGeeks officially so they can check and remove the link if it is malicious?

The administrators will see this thread and the VirusTotal link.

That stub downloader offers a declinable McAfee security tool, probably an older one given the date of file creation. I don't see anything malicious flagged at VT other than the usual guesswork/flawed heuristics.
