    Windows 10 with Edge.
A week or two ago I contacted a Facebook help site to resolve a problem. Short version....I allowed him to install 'Chrome' to complete an online form.....He took over my PC and connected to 'Coinbase' as he suggested I would have to pay $50 but would get an immediate refund....True but no actual transaction. That all worked OK and I had reasonable precautions.
Now yesterday I am receiving pop ups...first from 'Coinbase'....they have now stopped and replaced by the image attached which I see is a Porn site which I have never visited.
I use F-Secure suite and did extra full scan....Scanned with Adwcleaner...scanned with Malwarebyts free...….. I do all three as a routine on a regular basis.
    None indicate any problem.
    Help Please.
Image at bottom right corner of screen appears a number of times.

PS. I have not clicked it!

    Further....
The pop ups are appearing via Windows Edge Notifications...I have turned off notifications for the time being!

I already use, and have run AdwCleaner and Mawarebytes so presumable I need only to download and run the other three suggested programmes?

You'll have to also post the logs of Malwarebytes and Adwcleaner.

Do I post the files here or in the next forum?

Eldon I have just been told (a friend) that it is a 'Browser push notification'
A quick Google search indicates this is correct and I have removed the offending site from the allowed list in my browser.
Sorry to be a nuisance....after doing all the scans as well!!
I will wait a while to see if it appears again.

Bad move. Never let anyone take over your PC. You have no idea what may have been done to your PC.

I subscribe to the theory that I'll fix it myself. I ask at forums and read articles that give me manual steps for the fix. I don't download something either that is supposed to magically fix the issue because I want to know what changes are done.
I write down changes I make so if something doesn't work, I'm able to undo the changes that I made.

Thanks plodr I do appreciate your advice and would normally agree and certainly not recommend it! However it is only the second time I have done this since computers were invented and once, or twice, in a lifetime I take a calculated gamble.;):)

There are so many ways to get caught out but the older I get the less tech savvy I get. The plus side is that I get slower which makes me concentrate and look more carefully at what I am doing!:)
