Hi, I installed the drivers and everything seem to go great, but when i got on the wifi internet with my desktop using this new wifi adapter, it would go on the internet just fine but about a minute later would disconnect from the internet. Any idea's as to why this is happening?

Your Wi-Fi adapter is probably unbranded.
abgnac is the different Wi-Fi standards.
AC1200M is the theoretical bandwidth of the device.
Look in Programs for a name that's unfamiliar.

    I have a NETIS Wi-Fi adapter.
And also have the Cisco entries in Programs.
    Realtek supplies the chipset.

Take a picture of the adapter and upload it.

    Three questions:
    1. What version of Windows 10 are you running: 1803, 1809, 1903, 1909? If you don't know, run "winver".
    2. Can you identify the model of the Realtek wireless USB chip? It should start with "RTL" or "RTS".
    3. What version is your Realtek wireless USB LAN driver?

where do i find the version? I brought up revo uninstaller and it stated rtw lan. if that means anything, i do see where it says its for a 32 bit and i am using a 64 bit, does that make a difference?

Ok, this is what is happening, I took the wifi adapter out and put it back in and it started working again but after a few minutes it stopped again i was off the internet. so i wiggled the adapter and pressed it harder into the desktop usb port and it started to work again. its like its making a bad connection to the computer, did i get a MIS MADE ADAPTER?

    1. Launch "Device Manager".
    2. Expand the "Network adapters" section.
    3. Right-click on your Realtek wireless USB LAN adapter and select "Properties".
    4. Click on the "Driver" tab.
We also need the numbers after "RTW".
Sounds like you weren't fully seating the adapter in the port. Does the problem still happen now? If so, try using another USB port. That will tell if it's an issue with the adapter or with your port.

Thats exactly what is happening, i changed ports to two other ports still the same thing, When i held in the usb adapter it connected right away but when i leave go of it, it disconnects. I think it is a faulty usb adapter, I called the company and they want me to call them back for a replacement hopefully if not a refund. will let you know what they say its from a third party using Walmart called EEE-KIT. Never heard of them but will see how they are at helping out.
