Hello guys. At home I have a old computer monitor - NEC MultiSync LCD 1810. The power adapter which I had for this had damaging plastic covering, so I think my dad threw it out thinking it was no good. I have searched online for a new power adapter but I have been unsuccessful, some not delivering to the UK.

I had searched - NEC MultiSync LCD 1810 power adapter. I have looked on eBay and Amazon. Can anyone help assist me in finding a adapter, somewhere, for a reasonable price?

This is my old monitor, found another on a old reddit post now archived. https://www.reddit.com/r/crtgaming/comments/b6a1p8/nec_tft_lcd_that_has_analog_rgb_inputs_anyone/

What concerns me is it seems the model no. & output voltage/current have been deliberately shaded.

    Here's a similar product:

Thanks for your response. I looked at this but saw - This item does not ship to United Kingdom. US only, sadly.

Inspect the back of the monitor where the power cable connects. If lucky, you will find the voltage requirements and an image of the connector pinout. You need to make sure the voltage of the power supply is the same. The wattage of the supply needs to be equal or larger but NOT smaller.

Then the pinout (connector configuration and wiring) must be the same too. Obviously, the connector must physically fit. But the polarity must match too.

Hopefully, you will see an image molded in the monitor's case that looks something like one of these images:

    http://wiringelc.com/a/c/co/connector-how-to-tell-polarity-expected-of-a-dc-barrel-jack-enter-image-description-here_symbol-for-power-supply_fuse-schematic-house-wiring-plans-electrical-pdf-automotive-schema_850x235.png

Note these are the same, round physical connector with a single center pin, but are wired with different polarity. With the left image, the center pin is positive terminal. The right image show the connector is wired with the center pin being the negative terminal. You must make sure any replacement power supply you get is wired the same as the old power supply. If the polarities are reversed, damage to the supply and/or monitor might occur - not to mention possible over-heating and fire (that would be extreme but cannot be ruled out).

The power supply requirements are on page 40.
As Digerati stated, check the connector type and polarity.

Hmmm, except (unless right in front of my nose), I don't see any power supply voltage output specs or monitor voltage input specs. I did see on page 5, however, where it said to use AC Adapter. (TYPE A2440S01).
