Removing An Item From The Start Menu

I downloaded what I thought may help me with photo editing but it did not. It is named NCH Suite. There was no way to uninstall it in the Programs & Features app of the Control Panel because it was not listed. Nor was it listed in the Revo Uninstaller program. So I went into the Program Files (86) folder and deleted everything associated with it. I was successful in that but I cannot remove the program's listing on my start menu. The NET says to right click it and unpin it from the Start Menu but that is not an option when I right click it. So how can I remove this item from my start menu? Thanks

What you see on the Start Menu is a shortcut. Just delete it.

I wish I could. It will not let me even though the small icon representing it is blank.

    Which Windows are you running?

Thanks. After reading your suggestion I decided to click on it to see if I could just hit the delete key. It tried to open up the program, said it had been removed, and then gave me the option to delete it.

The latest version of Windows 10 Pro. I was able to get rid of it after reading your first post I decided to try to open it because right clicking on it did nothing. So when it tried to open and found the program had been removed it offered me the option to delete it and that worked. Thanks for your help.

NCH has good software. Unfortunately every program installs a folder with shortcuts to the publisher's other software.

I don't know anything about NCH but I downloaded it to try to edit a photo to make it lighter. I didn't even see a photo editing program within the suite it downloaded. What I Google searched for was a free photo editing program and NCH popped up. I am surely not an expert at installing and uninstalling but this is the first time I have run into a program that didn't show itself in the Programs & Features app of the Control Panel or even within Revo Uninstaller. I'm sure there may be others but this was a first for me.

If it's proper to ask here for suggestions on a free photo editing program, do you have any recommendations? Thanks again.
