Free Cloning Software

I've been searching for free software (for windows 10) for cloning the OS from my 1TB HD to my new 260GB SSD
Everything I have tried so far says they have a free version but in reality isn't free when it comes to cloning
Could someone guide me to cloning software that is really free.
For a one time use I don't really want to pay for more than what I need or subscribe

I suggested in your other thread? That is definitely free, the only doubt being whether it would clone HDD to SSD, but I gave you a workaround for that.

 

Most manufactures used to have "tools" for swapping drives. Acronis True Image WD Edition Software for Western Digital drives.
Do you have less than 260GB used on the 1TB drive? You can't just move the OS to the new drive, if that is what you're thinking.

I wish I knew how I created a disk image in January using just Windows 10, but I don't. It did work like a charm, though.
