Click Redirect In Majorgeek Downloads Page-why

Hi, redirect happens in suspicious sites. i download all the softwares preferably in majorgeek, as it is safe site to download. While downloading software , i do not find any redirect, but when i click he comment box to comment, it redirects to unwanted suspicious sites like pdf reader etc.
i downloaded microsoft c++ all in one version by burf from your server and i was relaxed to fix, the application error ,the application was unable to install correctly, when i open an exe.
all in one visual basic download by burf was mostly helpful in fixing this error. i have exhausted all the other fixes and i want to comment positively for the program.
when i clicked the page, i was redirected.
i will just close the site if it is not for majorgeek.
i request the moderator of the forum to check and fix this redirects .

 

Why comment on anything? Get what you need and be done.

The server at MG's and all suggested mirrors will not redirect to any unwanted sites.
You may have a browser redirect issue caused by an infection on your local machine?

 

To comment when on a file download page in the MG homepage area, you have to log-in with one of the allowed social/ commentary sites. I use 'disqus'. You are being redirected to a sign-in page. This is required even if you are already signed in here at the forums. It's good you want to give some positive feedback. Software developers do ...and MG's should... appreciate knowing that users like their products and sometimes even chime in, so we know they're listening.

Hi, edlon, i forgot to give that link. Yes that is the link. Whenever i download the software, there appears no suspicious links in majorgeek download page. Since the software i referred has fixed my , system error, which nothing could address, i thought of commenting on that . but on the click at the comment box, i was redirected to suspicious pdf readers download, which i used to come across , on most genuine sites also. I tried the second time to click and the same is the result. Normally on the second click, the redirect would go out and the page you click correctly appears.
but repeated clicks get the same redirect and hence i posted.
I checked with avast and found no browser hijacks.
did i do anything wrong in asking. i expect solutions Should not i pass positive comments on the program. is it against the rule of the forum. i do not think so.
Hi, replicator, first under stand the concern of users , i already siad in my first thread that i want to appreciate the author or publisher of this software, where one could get all the c++ in one go and could fix problems like, mscvr.dll missing, the application was unable to start correctly etc. Individual download did not fix the problem and so i wanted to comment onthat.
These kind of softwares are only available in reputed sites like majorgeek only.
i expect the solution now atleast. sorry for not giving the link at first post and i regret

Last screenshot shows adverts (AD... ) not errors, careful where you click, maybe block 3rd-party cookies unless visited/clear site cookies and try again (some ads are served on a rotation, now you see it, now you don't).

If you decide to use an ad blocker, please consider whitelisting Majorgeeks, sites cost money to host.

 

I already told you about redirects .
So, does it mean that a click on any item on the page would redirect to advertisement.
i have not come across any such behaviour.
i do not know ,how to select, thumbnail or full

Hi, plodr, read my query once again. I queried about clicking on posting a comment on the software on the software page.
I clearly mentioned about it in my query. i also do not have any problem of popups on downloads. When i click the comment box, i was redirected to pdf writer suspicious site i noticed on those sites while surfing http sites.
I also do not queried on the presence of advertisements.
I only point out the redirects
Now also i went to the said link, which says
We were unable to load Disqus. If you are a moderator please see our troubleshooting guide.

 

We're trying to help with *something* that's barely intelligible, try using DeepL or Google translate.

This sounds/reads like you had a problem with a hidden overlay (click on *something* but an unexpected reaction occurs), are you using any security software (please list and give details, URLs, screenshots)?

Are you using any security/privacy/ad-blocking Add-ons/Extensions in Firefox (again, list + details, etc.)?

 

I get the same.
However, when I click Comments, I just get a blank area. Clicking troubleshooting guide the Disqus logo loads.


I suggest you check for browser-hijackers.

I just left a comment on a 'utorrent' download page, using disqus. Even went thru the password reset routine with my phone, email and my pc. Using Win7 and opera. Works as expected!

 

I can also comment using Disqus on other sites, but not on MajorGeeks.com

 

I just posted a comment with Disqus in Firefox from MG's on my Win 10 laptop. No issues.

 

My comment was from MG's today's homepage tab up above this forum listing.
uTorrent is about the 7th or 8th down in the offerings foor today.

 

I'm using Dolphin browser on my LG mobile running Android 5.0.1.

Disqus loads on other sites.

Hi, it seems that users are commenting on mobile phones access. i meant with the pc.
It is not working. If i want to appreciate somebody , who has uploaded in majorgeek, a good software , then i may not be able to do.
i do not lilke torrent at all
please, Administrator, say, if you are trying to fix this issue. moreover, i do not get the replies to my email eventhough, i enabled watch this thread

 

You won't resolve this by choosing to ignore respondents who have specifically stated that it works for them on a pc. There are at least three of those.

Visit the download page, click on Burf's name to visit the external topic, join that forum, revisit his topic, make comment.

 

Hi, plodr thanks . i went to the authors page forum, which i am already a member and commented there.
but , i think majorgeek team has done some repair work in that page, i could now see and give comment in the download page itself, did you see that.
there was no redirect.
Some says that , they could give comment.
Mjaorgeek is the only place where i download software and it is the first place i would look.
Majorgeek is the only site , where you do not get bundled programs inside the downloads.
Recently, i downloaded a software not available in majorgeek, but somehow, got securazo visus, which is a santivirus, a deadly program which cleverly injects a colder called digital communications and created all the filders as in our windows file directory.
i downloaded a software from majorgeek, macrium reflect, but as soon as i open it, i found that it is not working. deleted or moved was the message. i become suspicious, how the exe would become moved. i immediately scan with avast with no effect.
But opening the folder i found ditto folders of windows folder and programs folder inside thedigital communations and created bout 8000 files acting and making weird as my experience above. i could not exe applications.
So, i just search for digital communications in net and found it is a ransome ware by malwarebytes.
i deleted the instances with that program. about 9000 entries in the folder and another 500 registry items were quarantined

 

Was there a question in there?

 

Now , i go to the same link and i could not see the comments already posted nor i could open the comment.. it is same alert,
