Constant Memory Issues - Win 7

    Hi there,

    Just to summarize my issues.

I normally have a lot open on my computer, but even with lots of tabs & windows with FB & YT I am still able to go 2 weeks without having to reboot due to low memory.

In the last month+ I can reboot & within 1-3 days I'm low on memory plus the computer keeps switching to different windows on its own & yet I'm technically still on the window I was on before. A friend pointed that out to me.

What's worse is that I no longer have all the windows & tabs I used to have open, so I have way less open than normal.

I have ESET which should have prevented anything from coming through, but it's been a while since anyone has combed the computer with these different cleaning programs.

After running all of them except for MGTools, I'm now having a problem with getting to the computer folder on my computer where I store all of the log files.

I click on it through Win Explorer & it just gives me a blank area. I have to click over & over again to show me the folders that were there before. I realize now it's just taking forever to pull in the folders.

So I ran all of the software, but on this page here - https://forums.majorgeeks.com/threa...10-malware-removal-cleaning-procedure.139681/ (see SS - https://nimb.ws/PiroqO - the link is dead). There's also several images missing from that page as well and the instructions appear to be outdated, but I got them all working.

I didn't get anything showing up for MBAM. I have the premium version, but after investing in ESET, I was told I couldn't have MBAM so I stopped using it. I just used the one from their site so I didn't have to hunt for the key.

I can't do the MGTools right now b/c I can't reboot, so I'm just providing everything else for now.

    Thank you

Please re-run RogueKiller and have it remove everything it found.

Reboot and rescan with Roguekiller and also please attach the log from running ADWCleaner.

Ok, I don't think it found anything.

    Here you go...

So what did it find before? I mean was it bad?

    Thanks

Yes, trojans. Tell me how things are running now.

So I tried to run it again b/c there was an update & I was barely able to do anything on my computer while it was running & I normally never have a problem doing simple things while a scan is running, so I'm pretty sure there's still an issue.

I thought things were better yesterday, but I couldn't even type just now.

My ESET sub is coming up for renewal & I no longer want them since I'm going thru this hell.

    What do you recommend?

I do hope to be moving to Linux soon, but in the meantime plus on my other computer I need something.

I'll let you know how things are going in the next few days.

    Thanks

Please perform one more scan and attach the log:

    Please go here > https://www.zemana.com/Download
their program is no longer free, but you can use the demo version for this cleaning.

It auto updates, and you click scan. After it's finished, click on the icon that looks like Cell phone strength bars. High-light the report (by date log was produced) and click on the "Open Report" icon. (looks like a folder). That notepad.txt can then be copied/pasted into another .txt doc and saved. Upload that, please.

Your screen shot is empty. Can you copy the results to notepad and attach that?

No it's not empty. If you click above the DL button you can see the menu from the program & how yes, the date that you said should be there isn't.

Let me see if I can somehow do that, but I don't think so.

Good. It looks like if found a few items that were missed by other scans and quarantined them. How are things running now?

LOL, you didn't tell me to remove them. Should I?

Not really necessary as they have been quarantined. How are things running?

So my website coder took a look at those files & he says they are supposed to be there. They are files that Brave uses to block ads & malicious websites.

    So should I unquarentine them?

    Computer is still lagging.

And he looked at the Rogue Killer file & 90% of what it found was Ultra VNC which is a legitimate tool.

Don't you know what that is?

I noticed that somewhere but was too tired at the time to realize that's what you were going to have me delete.

So that's why the computer is still causing problems, b/c nothing toxic was found.

The other part it found was search engines. SEs aren't toxic.

RogueKiller considers anything that allows access into your computer as malicious. I was unaware of your running a website and monitoring another computer.

    As to Zemana.....
    https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040224872-Why-did-my-antivirus-flag-Brave-

If you are running into issues because things were removed or deleted, I can only suggest a reinstall if you can't un-quarantine them.

Since this was all that was flagged, then I suggest you post in the software forum as your memory issues are not malware related.

I'm not monitoring a computer. It's when someone else needs to come onto my computer. Just like Teamviewer.

As for me running sites, that has nothing to do with my issues.

    Thanks
