    Has Defraggler been abandoned? It hasn't been updated since 2018, I believe.

    No.
    However, since Avast acquired Piriform only CCleaner has been actively developed.

    I deleted Defraggler and installed Auslogics.

    Thanks Eldon, I noticed that about their other software also. I just wasn't sure if they given up on the others not. Thanks again.

    I"ve used Auslogics for a long time but the current free version doesn't do quite as much as the older versions had.

    I have also used Auslogics FREE for a long time and find it very good.
    Malwarebytes attempts to quarantine Auslogics - PUP.Optional.AuslogicsDiskDefrag - I had to make it an exception.

    It's probably going to do the same with Smart Derfrag.

    I have not used a 3rd party defragger since Windows 7 does a great job at this. Windows 8/8.1 and 10 also do a great job.
    It is a scheduled tasks, runs once a week and when I check, my disk is 0% fragmented.
