Windows Security Blanked Out

Hi,

After doing some malware removal (through the malware removal guide) I was able to restore my windows update service.

The only thing left now is my windows security.
Some research has shown me that I am missing at least two services:

Windows defender antivirus service
Security health service

If anybody is able to help me through this (or point me in the direction of an existing guide) I would be very gratefull.

 

Try running Tweaking.com Windows Repair: https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/tweaking_com_windows_repair_portable.html

It's recommended to run it in safe mode.

• Unzip then run Repair_Windows.exe
• Go to the Repairs tab and select the service related repairs 25 and 26 + also 10 (policies)
• Click on Start Repairs and when it's finished, restart.

 

I would ensure you’re 100% clean. If you have then try an in-place repair:
Download the media creation tool & run this, then choose to upgrade the PC now. This will give you the latest build of Windows which is 20H2.
