I've tried multiple times to install on 2 windows 10 latest build systems. Tried install with and without security enabled. No software installed that conflicts with it.
Despite desktop and taskbar shortcuts enabled, it installs neither and this error message (ie the desktop shortcut 'has been changed')

Does IObit show in Program Files?

It does but without any exe file. I've checked any folder permissions in Windows Security, Windows Defender and Comodo IS, I've tried installing with every single security software disabled via their own options and Task Manager. No difference, it does not create icon on the Task Bar and desktop short cut is disabled with the same error window. I did post on the specific IOBIT Uninstaller Forum yesterday with no suggestions other than those I've already done. I'm going to install Revo & leave it as an issue for Iobit to sort out.

Yes. The thing is I'm getting the same response on two laptops running Win 10 & a PC running Win 7. Exactly the same unusable shortcut and programs folder without an exe file.

Possibly a conflict with some other software installed on all three or still possibly malware, especially if they are networked. I use Iobit Uninstaller on four Win 10 systems and haven't seen any issues at all with it.

    Are you running Malwarebytes?

I'm running MB as a stand alone. It shows all clear but Comodo is now finding Win32 Spy Banker Generator in iobit back up file,. I'm about to run SAS on the systems now too.

Malwarebytes and IObit have a history.
Check if Malwarebytes quarantined the exe file.

It was in Comodo IS quarantine, since as bizarre it is, Comodo only threw up the warning window it had been quarantined. on the fourth time trying to install it. The moment I overrode that it installed fully. Neither Malwarebytes nor Super AntiSpyWare with full system scans identified a single thing. So I suspect it's a false positive. But I'm not now so satisfied with Comodo IS not even flagging it up, so I knew it was its actions, that stopped the install after it had blocked the install three times without a warning window.

    Uninstall Comodo IS.
You have Windows Defender (Microsoft Defender) which is as good as the best.

I’d recommend Revo Uninstaller as iOBit software often come with pups advertising their other software. Also they’ve had problems with a hacker adding malware to most of their software & sending out emails to their users offering free downloads of of the infected programs.

I made appropriate changes in settings in CIS, did further all system scans with MB and SAS clean as a whistle. Tried out IoBit uninstaller but less keen on it than Revo so will stick with that. I avoid any Windows additions to the barebones OS. If I don't need them I don't use them.

Revo Uninstaller is a great program. I have the Pro version.

I still use the free version of Revo. I also used Geek Uninstaller https://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/geekuninstaller.html
I used this because Revo free version previously did not show 64 bit programs. Now that it does, I find myself using this 99% of the time.

Since I'm using Windows 7 on four computers, I no longer tend to install much.
