    Hey guys!

Long time no see (well, long time no post hahaha, still super happy with my computer purchase over a year ago now). Hope everyone is doing well:)

I'm looking for a new headset to replace my current one.
I've become addicted to SE 3 and 4 on Steam, and am now looking for a better headset which would help me hear things better.
Currently I have an Trust Carus GXT 322. It has great sound and comfort, but I feel I can use better.

What are your suggestions, for a headset in a budget range, up to about 150€ ?
I have been looking at a few myself, such as Corsair, Asus, LG and Sennheiser (my mobile is being a twit.. doesn't let me copy the links to the ones I noticed.. I'll add the links when I am home)

    Anyway, what are your thoughts?

    Thank you in advance:D

Sorry for the delay, but here's a few of the ones I've been looking into:

    Wireless:
    - SteelSeries Arctis 7
    - Logitech G533
    - Corsair Void RGB Elite Premium
    - Asus RoG Strix

    Wired:
    - Sennheiser G4ME Zero

There was another one..can't find it anymore :/

Any suggestions? ideas? Comments? Anything is welcome :)

If you can afford it, go for the best.
    Sennheiser.
The company is way ahead of the others you're considering. And wireless is available.

    Thank you for your input:)

They got a huge range to pick from, holy smokes.
Aside of prices, what range would be most suited? All those technical data and terms are confusing lol

    I suggest contacting Sennheiser.
Tell them what you need and your budget. Make it a project to get the best you can afford. I'm sure you will get your moneys worth.
    Keep us posted... :)

    Oohhhh, there's an idea hahaha
They'd be able to redirect ti a local seller as well I think. Hadn't thought of just contacting then - it's a good idea ;) Thanks!! ☺️

That's true - it's the only elgal way to shoot others :D:cool:
Well, the budgies are spoilt (spoiled?) - as are the bunnies (I live with my pets, not my pets with me xD )

I messaged Sennheiser, got an auto-reply in return (duh, it's weekend), will keep you posted ^^

I received a reply from Epos - and their suggestion / advice what I thought to myself beforehand: The most expensive set.
I hate it when my guts are right, they rarely fail me..

I have been doing research in regards to their wireless sets (I did compare some side by side) and they don't convince me as far as wireless options go. Most reviews I found (various languages and locations) pointed out the same issues for both: Mic quality is apparently so-so (not quite helpful when in a team match) and the directional audio (where you hear others - if that makes sense) isn't too great either, according to the reviews I read. They opted for Razer, Logitech and Corsairs instead. So.. that's a point where I'll have to do a bit more digging.

Wired seems to be a much better option, and if need be, I'll settle for that and find a work around for the cable.. perhaps tuck it under the table (is a tiny one.. I am condemned by myself and my pets, to have a small corner to game in - when not using the consoles xD ), or stick it to the wall.

I haven't come to a conclusion yet, other than I still need to do some digging.
If anyone has any suggestions or pointers, I'll happily follow them and see what I can find :)

    Thank you, Plodr!

Been looking at them (speed-reading, so skipping a bit here and there, will read in-depth in a bit - whilst enjoying my coffee ;) ), but it seems to be even more confusing xD I do notice, however, that Corsairs and HyperX popped up as they did on various other sites (I can't even recall what sites I've been at..there's soooo many!), and the SteelSeries as well.
I am tempted to try the HyperX CLoud Alpha or the Razer Kraken X, after reading the reviews. I'll certainly dig into it more by reviewing reviews on other pages as well (comparing is hardly a bad thing, when it comes to certain things in life ;) )

For consoles (Xbox) I can always use my Trust, it's a nice piece and works multi-platform, and I don't spend nearly as many hours on the consoles as I do behind my tiny desk ;)

I too spend a lot of time reading reviews at several sites before I purchase something. I don't want to buy something and then regret what I purchased within a week.

Then there still is the chance that a chosen headset doesn't meet your needs / expectations as everyone hears differently.

If I happen to be totally grey within a short time, you know why xD

    Cut to the chase...
Get yourself a Surround Sound System.
150 watt RMS will lift the ceiling. :D
    And move your eardrums.

While I admire the idea of using my stereo and / or surround set, there is one problem: I mostly play late evenings and nights. I'm quite fond of the lady downstairs so I rather not disturb her with virtual gunfire:D:D:D

I thought I had replied.. but that apparently was a different forum I visit - apologies

I decided to give the Arctis 7 2019 a go (found it at a discount). and I must say, I am thoroughly impressed by it's sound! I can hear leaves rustle, someone walking on dirt / gravel, and much more sounds that I didn't hear before.
The equalizer needed a little work, but I am very pleased with how it turned out :) High in comfort, sound (input and output) are wonderful - and apparently I have now some friends that have fallen in love with my voice  Guess having clear audio input can have a downside after all *chuckles*

Thank you again, my wonderful fellow MG's :)

(PS: I got my "old" Logitech speakers back, when I have more room I will be able to hook them up again, so that stereo option is not entirely off the table, Eldon ;) )
