Hello I need some help please. I just got a new HP laptop with Windows 10. I was looking for suggestions for programs I should download or delete. I looked for a video but didn't see one. Any ideas would be great. Thanks again.

What do you mean? I you want to delete pre-installed progams just go to Control panel or install CCleaner for that.

First, I never recommend using a program to decide what should be removed! Too many people end up breaking the computer by removing things that shouldn't have been removed. You just got the laptop, use it awhile and then look at some programs you might have not used. Post here and ask a) what does this program do and b) can I safely remove it.

Second, after you've used it awhile you'll discover what you might want to do but don't have a program to do it. Then it is time to post and ask for suggestions.

I guess I was wondering more about should I use Windows security programs or others and if there are any settings that I need to change to make it more secure. Also is Edge a good browser or something else.

Microsoft's security works well out of the box, if you liked googles chromium then you might like the edge chromium version, they're nearly identical...Firefox is okay too.
this works well in the background and virtually does not use any CPU or memory resource.

I'd stick with Windows security program. It works well and doesn't add heachaches when a Win 10 update might break something in a 3rd pary security program.

Try Edge. I always have at least 3 browsers on a computer/android device.
If you like Edge use it; if you are used to another browser, like FF, download and install it too and see which you prefer. Don't bother installing Chrome because Edge is based on that so it would be like having 2 browsers with the same engine.
