The link above allowed me to enable the Group Policy Editor in my laptop's Win 10 Home edition. I was using it to try to control how Windows 10 Updates are installed. I managed to get all the settings I needed to tell Windows 10 to notify me before downloading and installing any updates. Then was told this,
"Group Policy does not work on Home Edition.
You can “install” whatever you found, but it will be ignored.
It only works with Pro and above."

Have any of you found this to be true? I do not want to count on its settings if they will be ignored.

If it is true do you have any suggestions on how can I resume Windows Updates and then immediately stop them and re-pause it for another 35 days?

Yes it is installed and all the settings are set. However, after doing all that I got the message from another site that said again, "Group Policy does not work on Home Edition.
You can “install” whatever you found, but it will be ignored.
It only works with Pro and above."
That is why I posted here to see if anyone has run into the Group Policy Editor not working in the Home edition of Windows even after it is enabled.

Yep but I am trying to defer the updates indefinitely or at least until MS gets the March updates fixed. I am about to max out on the 35 days pause I set 30 days ago. I may have to experiment with the metering and disconnection method. It would be so much easier if I could be sure that the Group Policy Editor worked after enabling it in the Home version. Sadly, as my quote above shows, I'm told it does not. I was hoping someone had experience to dispute that. Thanks.

You can always pay $99 and update from Home to Pro.
