Is There A Glitch In Microsoft Edge's Feed?

I am trying to customize the main feed on my "New Tab" screen using Microsoft Edge. I don't want to see world news, celebrity or shopping (and mostly just science, books and music). But every time I use the "personalize" feature, it will work when I reload, just as long as I don't close it. But when I come back, all my settings are reset. It saves my page layout (which I have set to information) but not my feed settings. Why is that? Old articles say I should save it, but there is no such option. Is this a bug?

When you Personalize your feed, are you unchecking the categories that you don't wish to see?
e.g. I unchecked (for demo purposes) everything except Entertainment and on refreshing the page, the majority of the content was Entertainment.
Restarting the browser, all previous categories were still unchecked. (see pic)

If the categories are now checked for you, are you using any sort of browser cleaner?

Yes, I uncheck everything. However, are you saying the preferences are cache/cookie based in some way? Because I have it set to clear everything upon exit. Is that why? Because my page layout does not reset, so I assume this wouldn't either.

I've done some testing, and it seems that you have to have at least one interest selected for your feed. If you select nothing, then the feed settings revert to the default interests.

Thanks, but I don't think I'm doing anything different and it still reverts. I make sure I have lots of interests I want selected (and the ones I don't unselected), but nothing persists when I close my browser. And I don't see a save option anywhere, so it seems to take effect immediately. It just won't stick. See attached images.

I hate to bump an old thread, but this is still an issue and very annoying. I had a thought. Is it because I'm not signing into an MS account (which I don't wanna do). Is that the only way to sync the settings between sessions so they stick?
