Usb Cd Drive Not Burning Discs In Mastered Mode

Hi! I have a Win10/64 laptop with an external USB CD/DVD- drive and want to burn CDs in Mastered mode for the purposes of accessng them on older equipment and backing up my software. However, when I try to burn the CD, I get an error message. I don't remember the error message, but it happens at the beginning of the process and, if overwriting files on the CD, just after the message asking to overwrite the files. Any suggestions?

I didn't find it there. I want to burn a CD and go back to it and add more data later.

You need to select Multisession Disc.

I assume then a data CD. I do that with pictures. I burn pictures from a trip. Then I burn again from another trip.

You should also post what burning program you are using. Anyone familiar with that program might be able to help.
I've always used ImgBurn.
I have notes on burning Bin and Cue files, copying a disk, create an ISO from a CD and burning a data CD or DVD.

I don't use any special program to burn the discs, even though, IIRC, I have ImgBurn. I use Win10's native support to do it. Does this help?

Well it doesn't help me to help you because I do not run Windows 10.
Perhaps someone who does can step in.
