Ccleaner Will Not Work On My Computer ... Any Ideas?

Ever since Window 10's last update CCleaner has been acting wonky. I can not even get the program to load. I even uninstalled it and reinstalled the program but the same problem. Any ideas?

Are you also running MalWareBytes? MWB treats Ccleaner as a PUP and quarantines it. In practice it means you can't run both without having issues.

 

Try uninstalling it via Revo Uninstaller free & running their leftover scan afterwards.

What version of Windows are you running?
What version of CCleaner? Is it the Free or Premium version?
Do you run any other Registry cleaner?

 

FWIW, I run both MWB (pay version) and CCleaner w/o a problem.

 

Yeah, looks like MWB and CC have struck a truce. I don't regularly use either so my post was probably out of date.

 

Both Malwarebytes and CCleaner work fine together.I have run and completed a scan with no hits.

 

I just download and installed 5.81.8895 which is the latest version of ccleaner on majorgeeks.

Try this option first then reinstall with the latest version.

I do run malware bytes. That is not the problem. These two had been playing well together.

I did use Revo Uninstaller and cleaned every file I could. I reinstalled and it seems to be working.
