I am so the first one, and I have felt that way about Presidential elections since before I could vote!!! I mean, this past election, I was merely saying, "Anyone but Trump, Pence, Paul, Cruz, Walsh, Warren, Sanders, Klobuchar, Booker (got a little too special interest instead of broad-focus, like Sanders). I actually liked Pete Buttigieg--but pretty much knew he wouldn't win--and Andrew Yang.

But, they both withdrew, darn it, and we ended up with Jeff Dunham's best act (Walter) as our president! Granted, our president is much more polite than Walter, but look at him when he's concentrating and tell me I'm not absolutely correct.

Anything's better than the faded carrot with the dried greens, though.

I'd share this with my dad, who has Alzheimer's type dementia, but I think it would only depress him worse, darn it. Maybe a year or two ago, he would have gotten a chuckle.

Yikes! I most certainly would NOT be stopping...were anything to go wrong, I'd have little cause to complain for having no forethought!

I have an unlisted number, and whenever I get those type of calls, my first question is, "Where did you get my number, it is reserved as an emergency number for a select few and you're not one of them."

Regardless of their response, I always say "I'm too busy to talk, I'll only speak with you if I can call back when I have time."

They never give me their number! Seems to work

 

This is where having an unlisted number makes no difference. The robocall computer starts calling numbers from the lowest to the highest in a range and incrementing by one digit each time and any call that picks up it then transfers to a bank of human phone callers who do the talking/spruiking. They never actually get your unlisted number they just dial every number in the range...........PITA because they are almost always initiated outside of Australia so they can flout the "do not call" privacy laws.

 

We call it the KISS* principle.
