Vlc Dvd Ripping Quality?

If I rip dvd's from VLC player will it give me a 720 frame height or will it be small? I don' want to bother with it if it's small because I am already using WinX free ripper for that. i didn't realize I could rip from VLC.

NEVERMIND. IT DIDN'T EVEN RIP RIGHT. WON'T PLAY.

Because it only makes 404 pixel tall videos.

 

I unzipped it. It says I need .NET to run the app. I thought i alreayd ahd Net framework on my computer.

 

I installed .NET, REstarted computer & it is still saying i don't ahve it installed. I've got windows 8.1 btw

 

OK, so i figured out I had to use teh desktop runtime .NET, but now when I open Handbrake it says it might screw up if I use it for Windows 7 or 8???? aargh!!

I don't know what you think i was going to try to rip that handbrake would work on. I ahve to beg if I wasnt paid software. Tath is why I am always lookign for free stuff. I already have winx free & know it works. there Therer is no free premium trial that I'm aware of. Teh free version only rips to 404p, as i stated in my first post.
