I know there are already threads about this, but the option has come up on my laptop to download Win 11. Has anyone done it and give me your thoughts. I did the scan and I'm good to go if I want to, just not sure.

    Any issues with the download?
    How does it look?
    Did it break any software?

I am still running into Small bug issues with windows 11.So i have had to revert back to windows 10.There was a issue with AMD users that where getting throttled cpu wise.Intel seemed to be fine.

Don't expect to run windows 11 at peak performance settings as it can have negative effect's like random crashing with out Black screen of death or just crash's.

It can and will run games fine. But the wrong tweaks can cause crashing issues. And you might as well reinstall windows 10 a few times like i had to.

My laptop has an Intel i9 processor, so should be fine there. I only have a couple of steam adventure puzzle games installed and doubt they will be having much of an issue but will keep an eye if I decide to do it. I also don't do any tweaks. Thanks for your update. :)

I would ensure you have a system image backup of Windows 10 just in case.
The first time I upgraded (my laptop is incompatible due to cpu being skylake but I forced the install) the laptop was slower than it had been so rolled back. I updated some drivers & tried again & all is now well apart from the Start button sometimes doesn’t respond to clicks but right click does work.

I've been running it on my laptop and my desktop for a week orso now. Looks very nice, boots up faster and is noticably faster when it comes to loading programs and in-program load times are also reduces. Sound is also a very noticable upgrade. It really does sound a lot better than it did with W10.

Still be cautious.Once crashes start randomly it's done pretty much. When you start messing about in registry and group policy. That is when things tend to crash and Black screen of death.I have had only one of those due to a driver issue.Microsoft says windows 11 is ready but it's really not ready yet.Every OS has it's growing pains.

And Yes it's called Black screen of death now. It's not the blue screen of death any more past this point. The screen will turn black if it will crash.

This is the reason why i reverted back to windows 10.I have never had a BSOD on it.And have not had a BSOD since Xp days.

Thanks for the warning, but I have no reason to mess with the registry or group policies at this point.

Agreed...I wouldn't mess with the registry either.

However, I did look up Adobe's website to see if my PhotoShop and other apps in the suite would be okay and they said it's possible you'd lose function and to wait until they get it updated and situated, so I'm going to wait since I don't want to lose functionality there.
