    Yo! 'Preciate the hellos - glad to see there are still some of the old crew still alive and kicking.
    Life here has had its share of the good, the bad and the ugly - but I'll take it over the alternative.
    I'll try to pop in more often, share a virtual beer and/or buzz with you good people --- cheers!

    Hey Cal,

    All good here just massivily busy with work, over past few years and getting busier by the day, which is good but need more staff.
    I'm enjoying it as medical research in eyes is for me "eye opening"

    Gone mainly from looking at how new drugs work to more now usin AI to diagnose eye conditions, working with out Uni as well as a major pharma on this

    This looks like a problem everywhere. At my job it's insanely busy as well, but it's just impossible to find new staff. Even going up two scales did not attract applicants. Insane.

    Hey Flep

    We found the same in new staff and struggling more for quality and knowledge in our area of work, I get it that folk want a job but when you have no experience and kinda embelish your CV and application, that doesnt help. To be honest as its unique area we work in we will give folk a chance who show some enthuiasm and have done a bit of reseach on our dept (dont need to know the tech stuff but if you done a bit of leg work) we have taken on folk with no direct experence who have worked out really well.

    Ive been appraoched internally by a few staff who want towork with us, so been going through what we do with them to see if its what they really want to do as its great work but mind exhausting at times.
