Cannot Connect Dell Laptop To Tv

Hi I am not to sure where to post this issue. l I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 14 Laptop with 13 Gigs memory. I had my new laptop connecting to my Roku TV but the video started lagging and dragging and then the sound got distorted and went in and out. Normally I just cast it and it is great! Then day before yesterday it all went south. I do not have an antivirus other then windows security. I tried resetting the computer, that did not work. I tried updating drivers that did not work. Argh I always love streaming from my laptop. Could use ur help.

Have you tried a router (gateway) reboot, along with all connected devices?
ie Power everything off, then on again.

 

Hi yes I updated drivers manually, I shut everything off and turned it on again still weird and strange mirroring picture delayed sound in and out. HDMI works but I just do not like the hassle of all that. I love the mirroring casting its just easy as I am disabled the less steps the better. I even reset settings and still same issues. Just weird.
