I would like to know of a software to use to clone my small SSD drive to a larger SSD drive.
Will I have to remove the drive from my laptop to do this, or is there a software that can be used like the old XXClone software. I used to use XXClone a lot and it worked perfectly back then.

I am trying to upgrade this laptop to do some work on it and want to do it quick and easy if anyone has any suggestions.
I have Windows 10 on the laptop with all updates and several programs that I don't want to lose.

    Thank you.

EaseUS should do it from a software standpoint. As a tech, I chose to use a standalone cloning device. It's just a toaster with 2 or more drive bays; the original drive goes into one bay and the new drive(s) goes into the other bay(s), press a button per the instructions for the device, and after a while (time depends on how big the drives are) you'll have 2 mirrored drives. They make them for M.2 drives as well. Just make sure the total size new drive will be AT LEAST as big as the total size of the original drive or it won't work.

Thanks for the information on the software, as for the toaster unit I don't have a lot of money right now and need something simple and easy.
I will be looking at EaseUS and see if I can do it.
I am open to any suggestions right now, because I don't want to pull out the drive first to copy it onto the new drive.
    Thanks Tim

I use Macrium Reflect, you would be able to drag & drop the partitions & extend the C partition.
You could connect the new drive to the pc & clone/copy & then exchange the old drive for the new one.

I wish to thank everyone for the replies and will be working on the cloning of my new SSD for my laptop.
I will give an update on what I use and how the process went as soon as I am able to do the clone.

    Update.
I was able to clone the SSD with the Macrium Reflect program, but it made part of the new drive an unallocated. The reason I wanted to replace the drive, was I needed more storage space.
So after a painful search for more software "Mini Tool Partition Wizard" something I used several years ago, it took me another several hours to learn the new software.
I had to move one section of the SSD so that the free space would be next to the C drive and expand C drive to be able to use the whole SSD properly.

Both software's worked as they should have and the only problem I really had was me trying to understand the new upgrades to the software.

So I would like to extend my thanks to those that helped me with this problem.

I will keep my fingers crossed in hopes that everything continues to work.

Glad to hear all is sorted. Advice for the future- drag & drop the partitions would’ve been easier & Macrium would’ve automatically expanded the partition or you could do this manually.
    I’ve recently upgraded from a 2TB to a 4TB SSD & did this.

Thank you for that bit of information as I plan to upgrade my desktop soon also.

I wish to thank everyone for their help as it seems that the older I get the more I forget.
